The RTD2 era is running on even stronger first draft energy than his first tenure, or at least that's how it feels to me I can't think of a single episode this season that I didn't think "man, this could be really good (or at least much better) if they just tightened the screws on the writing a bit more, and kicked the tyres before sending it out the door" I still like it head and shoulders above (what I saw of) Chibnall's reign - really, there's just no comparison - but I think maybe I'm drifting away from Who now. And that's fine
