Deceitful and black-hearted, perhaps we are. But we would never go against the Code. Well, perhaps for good reasons. But mostly never.
I've heard that they have filmed an open-ended regeneration scene, which would make it tough to do specials until they've actually cast and committed to a 16th doctor.

Not impossible, but tough. Could do supporting cast spinoff specials or untold tales with any previous Doctor up to it. But it's not impossible that they let it rest for a good while, maybe set up to get a few seasons of a new start to build momentum into the 75th anniversary.

Yeah, there are no low budget tv programmes any more, and Doctor Who will never be a low budget show now.

Wellington Paranormal was a great low budget show. Let TVNZ have Doctor Who for a while.

Sorry, but after Heaven Sent the half your age plus seven rule prevents the Doctor from being able to date literally anyone in the universe.

The weirdest thing is that companions that met all four criteria were actually fairly rare in the classic series. Technically it was just Dodo, Polly, and Ace. Though Liz, Jo, Sarah Jane, and Mel were from near enough in the future that it didn’t make much difference most of the time.

Edit: Liz was still pretty different from modern companions, though, because she was an exceptional scientific genius instead of being presented as an “ordinary person”.

Flag on the play, trying to start a Unit timing derail right after the last derail.

I will laugh my rear end off if all the tabloid huffing about the show being doomed is planted to set up the meta story of the show "ending" on May 24th

Hiatus talk is just this year's we kept using Susan Twist because there aren't any other available actors talk.

I really like what he's done so far, but his Doctor does appear to be "still cooking" both figuratively and literally.

Also if we're going to continue having meta elements, I would love to get an ep exploring classic Who tropes a la the Curse of Fatal Death.

Last year they canonized th Shalla Doctor, so the next time we get a face parade they should include a few Fatal Death doctors too.

He was the most open with his past and Gallifrey of all the post fall Doctors with Ruby but was back to the evasion strategies of the others with Belinda.

I don't think we can know how the Doctor will deal with Susan until we get an explanation on how her and the Rani are around.

Unlike the Time War, the Master's attack was a surprise one and so necessarily every Time Lord expat living elsewhere from Gallifrey should have survived. We have only the Master's word that there were none, and he lies.

I agree. While coming back with no real explanation from a death without possibility of regeneration is the Master's thing, I can't think of a better ultimate fate than being shot in the back by themself.
