Starting the season on a west coast trip against the Padres and then the Dodgers is probably not ideal for racking up wins early but I expected them to win at least a few games out there. Acuña and Strider coming back will be nice but I somehow think there's more problems than one outfielder and one starting pitcher. The season is long so I am not doomposting yet but god drat what a poo poo way to kick off the season.

You can't catch it in the stands, because you aren't in the field of play. I am not sure what the actual call would be if you stood on the top of the wall and grabbed it (outside of the movie Major League 2), but I think that's also not allowed.

The Ozzie Albies contract was insane theft and it is malpractice that his agent let him sign that poo poo. You could double the value of that contract and even with the injuries it would still be a solid team-friendly contract for him. Most of the other ones were a bit more in line with the general MLB way of suppressing player earnings early in their career which might lead them to sign at a discount in exchange for locking in a guarantee. If the away team was losing (or the game was tied), but then took the lead in the top of the inning but the home team's half of that inning hasn't been completed, it'll be resumed.
