Maybe I'm stupid, but it is almost 11AM in Chicago and the Tribune does not have an article for last night's game up. Sun-Times does and has for several hours. Is it normal for local newspapers to just not give a gently caress at this level anymore? (I know the Tribune is bad and has gotten worse, but this is newspaper 101 stuff)

This Cubs schedule is the most dogshit thoughtless thing I've ever seen for a team with a fanbase their size. NL west all month? Have them come home for a couple series and then head out west again? Two loving Padres series in two weeks? Like, six games that start at a normal person time for the first three weeks IGNORING THE OVERSEAS SERIES? Who the gently caress wants to see any of that?

I baffled how reading the news from the Cubs game has takeaways like "Ben needs to be better" after giving up 6 runs and "bats go quiet". Ben gave up 6 which is extra lovely, but he could have given up 1 run, you wouldn't be talking about him because *you still lost the loving game* because the bullpen gave up 4 runs in two innings. and your offense scored four loving runs on 8 loving hits which is about league loving average for a game Why is the bullpen not fired into the sun? Does Chicago collectively have bullpen blindness? I feel like I'm losing my mind.
