THE ENDLESS NORMALIZATION OF GAMBLING
  • If you would like to risk "it" for the "biscuit" you can select ONE QUESTION
to double down on. Doubling down will give you twice the points if you
are correct. If you are wrong, you will be penalized that amount instead! If
you choose to double down, do so by putting asterisks around that answer.
    ie. **3. Raptors in 7 **
    or, *1. True*
  • If you double down on a question about a series, you must correctly
guess both the winner and number of games, otherwise your answer
will be considered wrong and you will be penalized. In summary:
series question is either +4pts or -4pts
bonus question is either +2pts or -2pts

West - 1pt for winner, 1pt for games
1. Oklahoma City Thunder [1] vs TBD [8]
2. Houston Rockets [2] vs Golden State Warriors[7]
3. LA Lakers [3] vs Minnesota Timberwolves [6]
4. Denver Nuggets [4] vs LA Clippers [5]

East - 1pt for winner, 1pt for games
1. Cleaveland Cavaliers [1] vs TBD [8]
2. Boston Celtics [2] vs Orlando Magic [7]
3. New York Knicks [3] vs Detroit Pistons [6]
4. Indiana Pacers [4] vs Milwaukee Bucks [5]

BONUS - 1pt each
1. TRUE or FALSE: There will be a 2OT.
2. TRUE or FALSE: Someone will score 45 or more points in a game.
3. Which series will have the lowest per game point total?
(by this I mean the series point total divided by the number of games in the series)
4. Which conference will have the most games played?

Deadline: Saturday April 19th - 1:00pm ET

(blank answer form)

:siren: ~~~```ROUND THREE REPORT```~~~ :siren:

Facts
  • kalensc was the only player to perfect a conference (Western).
  • due to losing their bet however, kalensc tied DeimosRising for the most points this round at 16. Coulda been 20, Jamal!
  • Rick was the only poster to choose the Pacers and Knicks. Ain't that some poo poo!
  • RandomHodge and rivetz scored a whopping 15 points, Chairchucker got 14, traxis, Shrimp or Shrimps, and Mean Baby scored 13.

Guesses + Scoring

Bonuses
  • OKC leapt past the Pacers for most assists 178 vs 147. Pacers still had more than the Nuggets, though (145).
  • The Celtics had the most 3PM at 97 despite losing in 6 and shooting horribly overall.
  • There were no buzzer beaters, Donovan Mitchell scored well over 41.5, Mathurin remained the only player ejected, and there was a total of 1,009 fouls.
  • The Eastern conference predictions were absolute dog-poo poo, while the Western conference was very good.
Circumdecision Results

  • 27 points were earned by Circumdecision while 19 points were lost. Gambling is good again?
  • 15 of the 37 Circumdecision options ended up being true. I didn't look up the extraterrestrial life claim to be totally honest, figure I'd have heard something if it did.
  • Cam Payne barely missed the positive +/- at -1 overall, and Mitch Rob shot an astounding and presumably world-record 45% from the line!

Congratulations to our leaders after three rounds
code:
1. (35 pts) DeimosRising
2. (29 pts) Spacebump
3. (28 pts) Charchucker
            RandomHodge
            Stagger_Lee
4. (26 pts) kalensc
            rivetz

Thank you for all this amazing work!
