Depends. If it's a local place I visit often I'll leave a tip, if it's a one time stop, no probably not.

i tip a buck or sometimes two if it’s a local place i want to support, cash in the jar because i assume credit card tips are immediately stolen. for national chains, no, never.

a couple years ago some friends and i went in together to hire a tip guy he’d handle all the tipping for us, and it was quite affordable split between a group hate to admit it, but we replaced him with an AI model this year. i heard tip guy is one of the occupations expected to be hit the hardest, but what can you do? it’s the market speaking, we have to listen.

restaurant yes, take-out no. I find it funny how a lot of the tip screens hide the 0% behind another button press. I used to be more magnanimous but at this point im not thrilled about owners making their wage issues my problem.

I only tip at resultants, and I've gotten take out in the tipping era a single handful of times. When something becomes more corporate, you tend to look at it differently.

I only tip in Europe and Japan. I insist they take the tip, making a huge deal about it if they try to tell me they don't do that here. I'll start yelling that the customer is always right and how I demand customer service with a smile. In America tho? God no, never tip, they'll never change anything if you do obviously.
