The difference between MJ and most of others in the table is that MJ was a star, most of the others were/ are not. Stardom/ Star- Power creates hype and excitement. This is why the crowd during MJ’s concerts was hot from start to finish. Meanwhile the crowd during the concerts of other musicians like Vasco Rossi, Roger Waters, Robbie Williams would have been dead 90% of the times even if they sold more tickets than MJ. This is also true about Taylor Swift’s Eras tour, I have watched some of the videos of the Eras tour on Youtube and the crowd was dead 95% of the time during the concerts. This is why I put MJ above others. MJ with his stardom aspect/ star- power, through his extraordinary dance skills created a level of excitement and hype surrounding his live performances other musicians could not/ cannot even if there are a lot of musicians who were bigger draws than MJ at the box office. I think MJ is probably less relevant than Shaq. Both had their own video games, both were acclaimed basketball stars with all the right moves. However Shaq is a multi talented artist, still working and thriving today. If MJ and Shaq fought regardless of the year Shaq would have been able to make a sweater out of the skin of MJ.
