You guys remember that Spielberg movie from 2001? I don't think I ever saw it, maybe parts of it on TV at some point I think they shot a robot out of a cannon? That might have been in the commercials so that's what I remember. Anyways this is the AI movie thread

Oh the robot gigolo movie Yeah it was pretty good I liked the ambiguous but largely unhappy ending that made people butthurt before anybody ever said butthurt

I saw that Robin Williams movie about the robot that came out around the same time I think maybe he was AI? Idk he became a real person like some kind of cyber Pinocchio I don't remember it much I was like 10 and thought it was hella boring and not all funny which Robin Williams movies are supposed to be

There was a really lovely robot movie from the early 80s. It was called "Heartbeeps" and starred Andy Kaufman and Bernadette Peters. They are two robots who run away from whatever they are doing so they can be together and have a family. It wasn't as good as it sounds.
