NSW Premier Chris Minns says the attack was designed to target Sydney's Jewish community. NSW Police have also confirmed it has been declared a terrorist incident. The total death toll is 16, including one gunman. The two gunmen are a father and son. A crime scene declaration is still current in Bondi. Edit: Might as well post the guardian summery. 12 people are confirmed dead, including 1 gunman. Police described the figures as an evolving situation. 29 people have been transported to area hospitals in a range of conditions, but officials described the injuries are serious. Its funny seeing the guys on twitter who say if they were the guy who disarmed the terrorist, they would have used the gun to kill all of the other terrorists. The guy who took that gun is brave beyond all belief and they just have to poo poo on him and imply he's actually some kind of weak individual while jerking themselves off. News.com have been tacky enough to post a video of the entire thing. It is censored when the older shooter gets shot. (Please note: I am going to report my own post. If mods disagree with the video being posted, I agree and am happy for them to remove the link. Due to the non-graphic content, the fact that it's on a news website and that I feel like this footage could probably go a long way to disrupting the rumour mill (which admittedly doesn't seem to have started), I thought it could be valuable. However, it is the full video of a mass shooting so it is very understandable that posting this link could be not appreciated or against the rules. I agree with the mod decision either way) It took the police about 4 minutes to arrive and return fire, by 6 minutes, both were shot and on the ground. I'd argue that was a pretty decent response from the cops. The interesting thing for me is that those 4 minutes felt like a very long time. By 2 minutes, you hear somebody say: "Where are the cops?!" which is also what I was starting to think until I checked the time stamp and yeah, it'd only been 2 minutes. However it's terrifying to see how much damage can occur in those 2 minutes. By about 3 minutes you almost feel like "Wow, this must be finished by now?" Then a couple of civilians run up before the cops get there. Baffling loving decision. Two guys start a punch on with each other? The cops nearly arrest a brown guy who wasn't a shooter but was one of the guys who ran up to them after they had been shot. Then a guy runs up, takes his shirt off and starts trying to kick the shooters while the cops are crowded around, busy and trying to arrest the cunts. I know people in extreme situations do dumb poo poo, but there were some seriously dumb civilians on display here. It's a father\son duo. The Dad was shot and killed, the son is the one who's alive. The Mum says he is a "Very good boy" who apparently goes to work, comes home after work and doesn't really socialise. That being said, apparently the son is an unemployed brickie, so where is he if he's "going to work" during the day? Mum also apparently had no idea about the 6 legally owned and registered firearms that (I assume) the Dad had. It's pretty easy to see what Mum's position in that family dynamic was. A couple of active explosive devices were found. They were disarmed. No information about what kind of bombs they were or how much of an actual threat they were, but it's still hosed.
