OK KDE can view the .ico files but only in 16 colour mode. I will figure out how to convert them under linux. Or find a converter under WinXP that doesn't change the transparent background to black. chutwig told me how to get .pngs out in sh/sc and I found the .ico had 48x 32x and 16x in 24bit/256/16 colours. So, I have extracted the 48x48,32x32 and 16x16 ones to png in high colour only. Does anybody have a webhost I can use for a 240KB.zip file? Mine is down and torrents arn't working for me atm ----------------

Super Mario World The background scrolls at 1/2 the speed of the sprites so I ended up with a 2500 pixel bg and 5000 pixels of sprites. Using some artistic licence I doubled up the background. Yoshis island is a true masterpiece. Serious skills there. Doing the SMW ones wasn't easy at all. I am still sticking with the original SMB3 one for my desktop as it is elegantly simple. I've got screens from SMB3 worlds 3 and 6 to put up later. I'll go through my nes games and see what else might work. ----------------
