The mouse was helping you by eating spiders - as long as you keep your kitchen clean and not goony like, which would have kept the mouse starving and hunting nasty insects under your kitchen. But no, you probably had week old pizza boxes with bits of jizz inside all over your kitchen, mouse was like "why should I hunt spiders when I can just nibble on some cinnamon roll"
