there hasn't been a religious war in real europe since 1648

you can take that two ways:

1) religious war is unlikely to happen since they sorta figured out that it was a bad idea

They're not that good at pretending to care but they take to the ultra violence like a fish in water.

While the end of the the thirty years war in 1648, or the end of the ECW in 1651, basically ended religious wars in Europe, later conflicts occasionally had religious elements to them, albeit in a much more limited fashion. That said, I do see some conflict bubbling up if things keep going the way they are now. Doubt it would be motivated solely by religion, but I could see some armed unrest or something of that nature.

Probably wouldn't be a full blown war though - or really that serious to any but politicians. Probably will just see a rise in populist movements, many which lean right.
