Not a mix related question, more of a DJ rule/law. Can someone under 21 DJ in a bar/club? My sister is celebrating her birthday at a bar with all her friends and wants me to DJ but I'm under 21. Are there laws for this? Or am I fine?

So i've been practicing and building up my library for a few months now, and i'm about ready to record some mixes. I'm using strictly vinyl atm and a djm 600, so what would be the easiest way to record from that? Any programs/recording boxes/magic kittens that anyone here uses religiously? For the curious, I went vinyl because i've always had an obsession with being the cool DJ that spins records, yes I may go digital in the near future just because it looks so drat easy, but learning how to spin has been pretty fun too... Also if it matters I have a laptop, though I dunno what all it can handle. Toshiba sucks.

Be real as hell and just do an rca->1/8" to the mic input on your laptop and record with audacity (or a real program if you've got that). I'm fairly certain there's two pairs of rca outs for the main channel. One to your monitors, one to your laptop. It'll take a minute to get your levels right, so soundcheck with a couple random records first. It won't be pristine, but it'll definitely be good enough. You can buy one of those really inexpensive Behringer USB things with the one RCA input if you don't feel like doing it the super-raw way.
