There is literally nothing good about The Johnstones. Go watch their knock-off of I'm On A Boat and try not to kill yourself before it ends. I dare you.

I watched some video where they were dressed like clowns and at a beach or something, I made it about 10 seconds before I shut the window.

I want to submit "All The Time" as counterevidence but there are like no videos of that song for some reason not even lovely YouTube videos with nothing but pixelated cover art.

Music snobs. Sublime is an easy band to hate on.

Though, their current cover-band incarnation did play "Santeria" twice in own night when I worked that concert.

It doesn't matter how good a song is, it doesn't need to be played twice in one set.

Sublime is a band I'm embarrassed to like. They have some amazing tracks but the posturing is beyond retarded and I would be embarrassed to play some of their poo poo in public.

At a Less Than Jake show at the Electric Factory in Philly, maybe seven years ago, one of the bands had to drop out at the last minute (Rufio if I had to guess). Who'd they get to step in? Tommy Tutone. And you're goddamn right they started and ended with Jenny. Also they played a song that was like a sequel to it. I was pleased.

More recently, when RBF did their summer tour a couple of years ago (I think the tour with LTJ and Streetlight), I saw the tour up in north Jersey at the Starland Ballroom. They're near the end of the set, they play Beer, and when they're done, Aaron noticed people leaving. He said something along the lines of, "Where the hell are you people going? Wait! Come back! We'll play Beer again!". Which they did.

Also, I've tried listening to the Johnstones before. Not a fan.

I;m only familiar with "Progress" (2001?) and "Halfway Between Here and There" (2000?), but they're both solid listens.

I'm under the impression their sound has changed a bit since then. I last saw them in 2006.

You could also track down their first album "Those drat Bandits" for some goofy OC Ska.
