But considering they couldn't find the DHC glitch, the spencer glitch, the zero glitch, the captain America infinite, and sentinel shipped with 10 billion health etc. I kind of have a tough time believing that if you faced them against the top players in the world at whatever game that it would be a "bloodbath." It's really easy to say this when you haven't seen the other fifteen hundred glitches they did fix. e: basically what bl said

Cat Machine posted:Sentinel health nerf was a knee-jerk reaction to the week 1 Sentinel hate, nothing more. It was well established that Capcom had to have given MS and Sony the patch before the game was released since the timeframe for getting a patch into MS and Sony's internal QA and published is something like four to six weeks (Unless you are MS, EA or Activision who have their own servers and have less QA hoops to go through) alongside getting an actual release slot for it. So less hate and more a last minute QA decision by Capcom.

I would have tried Skullgirls out at SB6 but I didn't know what JMcrofts looked like and I didn't want to wander up to the 10 or so people around the machines and ask who he was. So I settled on MvC2 all day.

MrJacobs posted:Hopefully it actually successful, unlike 3rd Strike. It does look pretty drat fun though. I think so. It doesn't have the baggage that 3rd strike had since 3rd strike was riding on the numerous Street Fighter 2 characters. "What do you mean my favorite character isn't in this?!" Not to mention coming out near the death of arcades. It also has a really wicked 2d look that's modern enough not to feel old but will pull in the retro crowd. There were a couple of people who literally just played on those setups all day unless you forced them off. It's good they were enthusiastic at least.

I realize this is advertisement of sorts but it is also STICK TALK so bear with me, please. What's the going rate for a used TE nowadays? I have an MvC2 stick I don't need anymore so I'd like to have more money to support my college lifestyle.

I wasn't really that interested in playing the game in its current state. I'm one of those fellows who spends more time in training room than running casuals because I don't learn well on the fly (execution-wise.) I mostly just wanted to say hi to JMcrofts, ask him a few questions about his development experience, then buy him a beer or something because he's a nice guy who often makes posts about random characters that helps me learn a bit more about the matchup. It just wasn't worth the trouble of going up to a group of people and nervously saying "oh hey is JMcrofts here, I know you from the INTERNET!" Not to mention I get pretty nervous when I'm high and I'm pretty sure Yipes christened our specific room "The Green Roof Inn" so you can imagine. E: I'm not trying to brag about getting high or something stupid. I have a medical card because of my disease so it is what it is. I just wasn't prepared for this weekend and my brain moves faster than my mouth after I smoke so I played a few rounds of SG then went back to the room for MvC2/SSF4 or whatever. I dunno how some of the people stayed in Momo's all day with how packed and hot it was. SB6 was pretty loving amazing though and I'll see you all at winterbrawl! I have been a part of three different FG clubs in my time as a player and all of them have been ended up just being referred to as 'Fight Club/Night'. It's a somewhat cliché name but it instantly conveys what the group is about and it's a lot less awkward to say 'hey you going to fight club this week??' than some other contrived pun that will get old after a week. And don't even bother with any fighting game subtitle or technique (Giant Attack, Second Impact, Guard Crush, Double Perfect, Option Select, etc.), literally every single one has been used already.
