Is it just me or for the Captain's Armor DLC did they leave it as having a women's breastplate?

What was everybody's experience in the Everfall? The first time, anyway, I don't know if you return. Like I said before, I have two pawns that are significantly higher level than me. But when I got in there the ogre killed me twice before I managed to juke it and make it fall off the ledge where it died. When I then googled how to beat the tentacle-boss, I saw somebody said you're not really supposed to be able to beat it? The ogre I mean. Then fleeing the tentacle boss. But even running away was hard! How is a low-level party supposed to survive that? iastudent posted:Is it just me or for the Captain's Armor DLC did they leave it as having a women's breastplate? It's for women. You get a cross-dressing achievement for putting it on a man. Mordiceius posted:I don't think I saw this answered. Any answer? I don't THINK there's a way to input a search string in the The Rift, I think you have to search and sort by level/ranking/gender/class. How gnarly is that battle down the well in the first time against those lizard dudes? I was killing them pretty well but there's like, a whoooole bunch and my people eventually were overrun, and I'm curious about whether or not it was just bad luck or if I was out-leveled

The pawns of people on your friends list are pretty much walking around the Rift to begin with, in my experience.

When you open the search interface in the Rift by using the Riftstone, one of the options is "Friend List" which shows your friends' pawns and another option is "Search by Online ID" which lets you type in somebody's PSN ID/GamerTag. Not absolutely positive those are the right names for the options, but they're both there anyway.

After the encampment, when you take the big U turn you'll be at a fork, you should take the one infested with wolves which should be to your left, the same path also has a cave at its base, and a boulder trap at the top of the hill when you reach up, early on i had better luck going at night (which is literally more wolves) cause the bandits wasted me. I'm super on the fence about this game, on one hand I love the style and classes and whatnot, but on the other every video I see has random slow motion with pawns and focused only on climbing all over poo poo, is that pretty much how every fight goes or how exactly does the flow of battle change?

Edit: This is for the Warrior class.

Nelson Mandingo posted:No no, I mean right now I can only put three skills in the primary weapon slot. Is it possible to unlock the secondary weapon slot and put more skills there? Nope, unless you have something equipped like a shield, unfortunately warriors only carry one thing unlike the other classes so hes mostly hosed with 3 skills only. Also ThisIsACoolGuy, even melee classes can fell down bosses without grappling, although the fights are slightly harder that way (since you need to grapple to destroy whatever mcguffin/limb on the monsters to weaken them or whatever).

Hm, what happens if you don't equip a secondary weapon, like if you just use daggers as a Strider or only a sword as a Mystic Knight? Can you set the second group of skills to more for the one weapon you have (twice the dagger/sword/whatever skills), or are you just gimping yourself, if it's even possible to not have something in both slots? Edit: Oh, wow, was this answered while I was posting? I was wondering because I swear I remember seeing a video of a mage guy with six spells or something selected, and when he went to Mage Archer he got three spells and three bow abilities instead.

You mean the other classes like mages and sorcerers who also only have one weapon? Warriors absolutely should be able to have 6 two-handed skills. Every class gets 6 skills, what they are just depends on your weapons.

Nothing like taking down a griffin with two underleveled goon pawns! Hateworkboy and flymonkey's pawns did way better than I expected considering they're around 16 and my pawn and I are 24.

Since I am bored and don't have the game yet, I'll just show off my main from demo. I'll take pawn pic once I get to selection of class screen, so the pawn can have some armor on. In the demo, they just keep turning away from the camera so no good paparazzi shot.

Wow I am having a lot of fun with this game. Right now I'm just playing with my my character and my main pawn, both of whom are Striders, for more difficulty (though this will probably change later). For some reason my Pawn looks way cooler than my main though...even her armor looks better. Then again, I did design my character to be a very ordinary-looking person and my pawn to be a badass, but still. I am actually really pleasantly surprised by the game since the reviews made me very wary; the game world is actually larger than I expected.

Recently I switched my Mystic Knight MC to Sorcerer and have found myself screwing around with the petrification spell every chance I guess. Well, I decided to try it on some of the local wildlife. I have made bird one with the earth!

Just had my first run in with invisible river lizards pretty far west of the capital. I'm trying to take captain what's her name on her mission to somewhere southwest of the capital, but no matter what route I try I run into something that kicks my (and more importantly, her) rear end.

Actually I did read them and that's why your post was redundant Allright no more derail. If anyone is wondering when exactly strider gets a dodge it's level 15. I'm hoping that at some point I get a bow that permanently has magic attributes. it's a bummer sitting around crossing my fingers that a pawn is going to bless me with them. Fire literally makes poo poo like 5 times more powerful. Plus it makes it so i can't personally do damage to enemies immune to melee unless I'm blessed. So far, man. This game is just awesome even if it's kind of frustrating at times. Really glad I didn't let mediocre reviews get me down.

This is kinda fucky that Warriors get screwed out on active skills. I just assumed since they have 1 weapon it would be 6 skills assigned to lb/rb like wizards, but no, 3 it is. This was the class I was most looking forward to so this is really lame.

As someone who ranks Dark Souls as their favorite game of all time, I hate this. Hidden underneath the constant blathering of the pawns(yes I know it's loving weak to fire-- I've killed hundreds of them), the extremely high encounter density with instant respawns, the awful quests(far too many of which are escort wherein the NPC you're escorting just happens to run a bit slower than you), the terrible map/quest direction system, saving taking way too long and a bland world is a core combat and character development system which I like. Unfortunately, the game they built around it is crap... Maybe the sequel?
