Looking back on this game I think I would rather see a sequel that was nothing but a much more fleshed out version of the Everfall in place of a kind of wonky and dull open world. It would be like Diablo meets metroidvania extreme and it would rule so hard.

Thing is, he specifically said he was going to stop wandering. The mystery had been solved, so he had no more need for it. And he'd made a lifetime of wealth off the Arisen at minimum, so I think he can retire young. Still, I would like to buy more of his stuff--he was a convenient source of materials and had gear that none of the other merchants seem to carry.

edit:
What I'd like in the sequel is a function that remembers my outfits so that, if I have all the pieces in my inventory, I can quick select the full set and just go without having to select individual pieces, or for quick comparisons between multiple get-ups. I spent all day with my fighter pawn doing remarkably well dressed in the summer cowl and camisol with the hydra arm-guard, armor and boots, and with the Orilux and Almace she was a lustrous gold and white. Then I started building a Meloiran helmet and armor set that looks really stark and imposing and I'd love to be able to just toggle between them to decide which I like better.

This is false. Magick Archer bow attacks are not elemental, they're physical. The other HUGE problem with MA's (and why they're broken) is that elemental enchants on their bows do not proc the elemental effect or damage with special attacks. So if you have a fire enchant and use and MA skill, the skill only does base damage and gets no bonus damage or effect.

Yeah, this isn't correct. Even the basic shot with the bow is ice. They will cause enemies to freeze if you fire it enough. Sixfold Bolt is also ice, and is one of the best spells for killing dragons. Explosive Rivet does small fire damage with the first shot and inflicts burning, then a large amount of fire damage once hit. Ricochet Hunter is lightning, and Hunter Bolt's icon suggests it's lightning as well (although it's apparently holy?). Magickal Gleam does holy damage and inflicts burning on undead enemies. I believe Great Sacrifice does Dark damage, too.

How do the DLC Missions and gear DLC work with respect to New Game+, restarting and other profiles on PS3? If I buy the missions, will I be able to play them on another profile? Will I be able to use or buy the gear from the merchants too?

There is this nasty warning on the PSN that I thought it was for the 2000 rift crystals about applying the DLC benefits only once to savegames but it appears in the descriptions of other DLCs as well...

What it means by applies once is that you can't duplicate your DLC weapons or armor or anything on one save file, pretty much how you would expect DLC to work.

If you start a new game+, you keep everything you had and it doesn't reapply the DLC you purchased (DLC questlines might restart?).
If you start a new game on any profile, the DLC is applied immediately.

Aye, it's a very nice looking set. I'm guessing it will be future DLC. If it's any consolation, you can get his shield and mace, though the former has some pretty complicated steps that you'd likely miss on your first run. Both bits can only be equipped by Mystic Knights, however.

I'm 7 levels into Mystic Knight in my first go-thru, and it's wonderful. The weapon and shield combos offer a few different playstyles.

Right now, I've gone 100% simple and am playing like a Fighter. I've got a 260/0 mace and a awesome as hell shield. I enchant myself with fire, Blink Strike into big packs, throw down a sigil which knocks all of them 100 feet away, and then start picking off whatever's still alive.

There's more castery/support skills, but playing as a slightly stronger rear end in a top hat Fighter is pretty rewarding on its own.

Money doesn't start raining from the sky until you begin doing the easy board quests aggressively. The weapons sell for a ton, the rewards are sky high, etc.

At level 38 I have already maxed 2 classes (wizards and warrior) and already have Mystic Knight at half. When you get maximum rank on a class you can switch onto another because you will not be able to buy more abilities for that class.

True, but discipline is good toward any class. You can earn a shitton of discipline as a Warrior and then spend your discipline elsewhere. Having 10k to spare when you change vocations makes that switch nice and easy. Especially going into a caster, since they have so many drat spells to buy.

What matters is vocation ranks, and level-up stats.

Having fun with this, not really sure about how the natural progression is supposed to go though. Seems like to advance anything i tend to have to sneak/luck past monsters that are way too strong for me. I must be in the 20s now, just hooked up with some guys to go storm a goblin fort or something and had to run like the wind past a chimera, dragon and slay a cyclops. Not sure how my equipment is, using horned, hide and iron armour with a trusty sword on my fighter right now.

Never normally play fighters in rpgs but blink striking all over the place like a maniac is too much fun. The pawn mentoring isn't working great, mine only ever asks 2-3 of the same questions. Fun so far though!

They sell for 189 each, and you can carry a crapload of them. All sour/moldy food sells for far more than the regular version. The only thing to be careful about is leaving yourself enough money to sleep at the inn a few times in the early game.

By the time you're in the 20s you should be able to take on most things in the game except the drake with the right tactics. Chimeras aren't that bad as long as they're alone and you target the snake and goat heads first.

So I've finally gotten around to Trials and Tribulations. I've got three innocent petitions so far, and I hear there's a soldier up at Windbluff who can be of help. Since I saved the family from being thrown out, they won't even give me guilty petitions. I did some escorts at the start of the game that I'm pretty sure put evidence in the guilty category, but I've read other people simply turning in the three petitions and the Windbluff witness and getting innocent. I've also heard you can get false affidavits from Reynald, but therein I have a problem: Reynald has left my game since I finished his quest.

Am I going to miss his affidavits or can I do it with the petitions and witness?

If you have a pawn in your party that's got certain area knowledge, they'll try to lead you to a shortcut that cuts the travel distance from Gran Soren to the Shadowfort down to about 1/3rd. The shadowfort itself is pretty dangerous unless you either use the ballista you can get to to take out the two goblin-manned ballistas, or just run for your life and find the lever to open the gate.
