Alright, I like t.r.u. to my realigion but god drat 2 chainz album, based on a tru story, is really loving good. not a single bad or boring track (the weakest is probably the first track yuck with lil wayne) and 2 chainz is honestly one of the most versatile and witty rappers i've heard in a minute. poo poo goes

Got kinda overlooked in all the Tyler hype at the time, but I think it was one of the stronger initial releases (which IMO were all pretty good). His second one was pure garbage though. And I was starting to cool on Action Bronson, but recently he's been sounding a lot better (or I'm just not as tired of him) and I'm really looking forward to the Alchemist project.

Nardwuar's the most important white person in Hip Hop: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HaJvtLCutxk 2 Chainz is fascinating even if I think he's kind of boring as a rapper.

You can basically tell a rappers quality by how they respond to nardwuar. Curren$y? Great rapper. Henry rollins? lovely rapper.
|
# ? Aug 14, 2012 21:23 |
The beginning of every Nardwuar interview is great, you can tell the interviewee is like "why the gently caress did my agent do this to me" and then 30 seconds later Nardwuar pulls out some crazy record from the beginning of their career and they're into it.

Hoodrich posted:e: and sampling the same song as T.R.O.Y. was possibly the bitchest lamest poo poo ever? almost forgot about that Lupe Fiasco posted:“The funny part is you ain’t even got to go through Pete Rock to clear cause he don’t even own it,” said the rapper. "Then he comes on Twitter the day after the joint’s released or it’s the same day that it’s released and bodies me like that and bodies my crew like that. And just shits on us like that. That’s foul. Then when we finally get on the phone, we didn’t have a [good] conversation. We weren’t on the phone like ‘Oh, I love you Pete at the end of the day.’ I was hot. My crew was hot. The people who put it together was hot. The record company was hot. He just wasn’t on the phone with me; he was on the phone with six people. Like Pete what’s wrong with you? Going in on us like that. We’re trying to pay homage to you.” he wanted to use the song but didn't have rights for the Scott or Brown parts so he re-recorded those instead. pretty much theft now that i think about it, no one born before '92 would have listened to that song thinking that he hadn't sampled T.R.O.Y.
