It's me, I'm the worst sniper, I have like 95% crit accuracy but every time I oneshot something, I take my hands off the keyboard and mouse to  + in celebration. gently caress, I love sniping so much in this game. It's just so psychologically satisfying.

I think the game would also greatly benefit from a more open world concept, so players could have access to things like boats + flying vehicles. Salvador has the original problem, I couldn't figure out what I'd want from his starting skills, and only started putting points into his middle tree because the rest seemed crappy. He seems really cool but I'm getting the vibe of "Brick but more emphasis on gear" from him.

It's going to be fun to phaselock a group of enemies then make them eat something explosive. After that point I'm going to drop some points into Sweet Release in Harmony, not entirely certain if I need to drop a full 5 into it. I'm not sure where I'll go from there though, probably the rest of the way down Motion. I really like Phaselock, and if that final ability is affected by Converge I'm going to be laughing my head off at the head of an army of minions.

The search feature is giving me errors right now, so I don't know if this has already been asked: I picked up an SMG with the red text of "I have a Soldier, a Siren, two Scooters and a Claptrap", but I can't tell from using it what that mod does. The SMG has very low stability and has electrical shots, but those just seem to be normal features of SMGs and another mod on the weapon, respectively. I tried Google and the BL wiki. Anyone have any idea what it means?

I'm finally able to play this game. I sent support tickets to 2k and Gearbox the morning of release after spending almost 10 hours uninstalling, reinstalling, repairing redists, and verifying the game cache. Neither of them ever got back to me. Every time I tried to launch the game I got an error stating "Borderlands 2 launcher has stopped working." Finally I find this:quote:Create a .txt file in notepad and write the numbers '49520' without the ' '. Save it as 'steam_appid.txt' and save it in your Steam directory 'Steam\steamapps\common\Borderlands 2\Binaries\Win32' and run Borderlands2.exe as admin. And I do it and the game works. I have no idea why putting the steamapp ID in that folder changes anything but lo and behold

Found this on my Level 7 Commando. I had already selected a skill that caused my health to regenerate after my shields were topped off. This makes that really easy. The drat thing regenerates almost immediately after getting hit, and then my health starts climbing again. Sure, it might be obsolete in the future, but for such a low level? Get out of here. Also, I just spent the last 30 minutes screwing with Goliaths. Pop their head off and kite them around so they wreck other opponents, level them up, and then take them down. It's so simple, but so fun.

For gunzerkers: When did ammo regen class mods start showing up for you? Duel wielding pretty much guarantees both of my guns are out of ammo by the end of it.

There's a ladder next to a cell, climb up, walk along the pipes, and you'll come to a room with switches for all the cells in that area. I really, really want a bolt action revolver rifle. Holy poo poo is that a loving awesome idea. With modern technology there'd be no chance of chainfire god dammit video game why you gotta make me want silly poo poo.

Moving those saves into there after the fact DID work for someone else in this thread. I haven't found the post yet though. It's somewhere between 4 and 10 pages ago. Edit: I'm wrong. Saves may just not work on a new profile.bin at all. That switch is useless, you need to: Go up the nearby stairs, jump over the railing and onto the pipes in the air, run across them into the second story room with a pile switches and open them all. If you are at the cell with the chests, facing it, turn 90 degrees right and look at the far wall. There's a window up there above the pipes on the second story. That's where you need to go.

Phaselock doesn't last long enough for Elated to do anything of value IMO, unless you either have like 10 Elated or 10 Suspension via class mods. Keeping people topped off with Sweet Release/Restoration and Wreck is so much easier. If you're feeling lazy, just pull out a rocket launcher of some variety. Plus, this way you can heal them without needing to phaselock anything.

I have a quest bug. For the quest Do No Harm, I did the surgery and got the raw eridium shard, took it to Tannis, and... it won't complete. It checked off "Talk to Tannis", but I don't have any place to turn it in. ANyone know what's wrong?
