I can't stop laughing at this newspaper ad for "Straw Dogs". Those things happen in the movie, but the tone of this ad couldn't be more wrong. Also, that photo is not from the movie.

They replaced Dustin Hoffman with Leatherface and gave him a shotgun instead of a chainsaw. Yeah, look at that lurid sensationalism in the description of the gang rape scene.

I'd really like to see the reactions of people who went to see Straw Dogs based on that ad. I also kind of want more wildly inaccurate but technically correct advertising.

Until I saw the gun in Walken's hand, I was hoping beyond hope they were playing three old stand-up comedians. I thought that would have been pretty neat!
