Hey, Sharon ain't killed poo poo, no matter what that bitch Vicky-463 might say behind her back. Could I conceivably channel Hellacious Music and make a mental attack against the running cultists? I do have Pointed Performance, if you want to be literal about targeted performances.

Sure! They are chumps so I would guess their Mental tracks are also OO. Also you guys don't have to kill them, you can just decide all your damage knocks them out or whatever.

Sharon Sharon is aware of the intense value that Ghost members place on stuff. The hacker kid's compulsive checking of his clothing, or Minimina's derision based towards his eye-ware of choice, for instance. There was one occasion on which Wade actually started sobbing over the phone as he related a story about how one of his dolls had been broken. It's all a little confusing to Sharon, who never really had anything she could call her own that wasn't made a part of her, but it's enough to make her suspect Hacksor is going to be a huge weepy baby unless he gets his suitcase back. There's a trick she's been wanting to try, but never had the occasion for until now. In Songfight, it's bad form to deafen your opponent permanently, meaning that even if you win the match, you're probably out of the circuit. Sharon fiddles a bit with her virtual soundboard, carefully ensures her own monitors are briefly disconnected, and then channels about a hundred fifty decibels through her sound gear, straight into the cultists' heads. That'll show them, which will be literally necessary, because they aren't going to have intelligible auditory sensations for a while. I guess this is really more Create Advantage instead of Attack, because I really just want to stop the runners in their tracks so the others can kick the crap out of them and get the McGuffin back. Invalidating an entire encounter with one action is a dick move and all. Create Advantage (Songfight): 4dF+5 7 is probably gonna be enough to do whatever it is, in any case.

A block against moving maybe?
|
# ? Feb 2, 2013 13:40 |

Well, a block against moving won't do much if they're cut down, and you can't put a block against someone defending. You could make a spray attack and split it across everyone (the others already owned most of the cultists anyway), but how about this: Sharon places Deafening Sound on the Sons! Since she succeeded with style (for reals, look at that 7, no way she did not) and gently caress the Sons of Sirocco, you guys can get one free tag per cultist. The Sons stumble or drop to their knees and scream, hands to their ears in a feeble attempt to protect them! The one in the ten-car train drops the case under a seat.

Arthur dodges one burst of SMG fire easily enough, but burst number two puts a round neatly through his side. He gives a bestial shout--half pain and half warcry, thrusting his head and wings back for maximum volume. Then he charges off again, skimming just off the ground to collide with the Jinn attempting to flee the scene with the suitcase Mina's not-boyfriend was looking for. Arthur Durandall FP 1/1 Physical: [ ] [ ] ([X] [ ] [ ] [ ] tager) Mental: [ ] [ ] [ ] Social: [ ] [ ] [ ] Arthur returns to the center of the trainyard in Tager form, the still breathing cultists he could find under his arms and the handle of the suitcase clenched between his teeth. Unceremoniously he dumps the bodies to the ground, while transferring the case into his hands much more delicately. Simulaneously he stretches and reverts back to human form, the yell of the tranformation fading into a shout of pain. "HAAAAAAAA-aaagh! Dammit, getting shot hurts!" he yells out, clutching the wound at his side. It's already healing--one of the fun perks of Tagerhood--but the pain is going to stick around for a while. "I'm going to be throwing down a lot of drinks tonight. But first..." He sets the case down where everybody can see it, and rubs his hands in anticipation. "First we get to the part we always loved at the office: where we find another hidden piece of a 500-piece jigsaw puzzle and see if we can't fit it onto any of the 500 jigsaw puzzles we're trying to assemble simultaneously!" Suitcase The suitcase contains a physical copy of Dimensolatreia, a banned sixteen-year-old work on space/time, quantum mechanics and arcanotechnology. Any black market mage worth his salt already has at least a PDF of this. Haxz0rl33t wipes blood from his mouth. "It's a decoy, there's a hidden... hack... pocket." Searching the suitcase thoroughly turns up a portable data drive with Hakurei's logo on it.

Mina Fisher "Right! My turn! You handle the thickheaded pokin' and prodin' and I'll take care of the important stuff." Without waiting for anyone to comment or interject, Mina snatches the data drive and begins fiercely chalking on the ground. Once the geometric symbols have been chalked in, the data drive goes into the triangle to the right side, and Mina sits down in the central triangle-circle. Immediately the chalkings light up with AR data as the net reads the encoding and converts it into technomantic data. She quickly scans the data to detect for magical residue and uses the encode to act as a server, connecting into the data with her own cranial computer without having to literally plug the drive into her head. She brings her hands up and an AR keyboard appears into being right below it as she types furiously. The leftmost circle takes several graphs and charts that begin to move and fluxuate as a screen appears in front of her, full of letters and numbers scrolling down. Finally the left circle flashes. "I'm in." Hollywood Hacking: 4dF+4 5

Hakurei Industries Præj∂ct D¥∑«makδœ∑√¥π ∞arch∏•‘≤ $∫∑ Drive Mina fishes for information! The short version is, it's probably research data on some new project. Whatever it is, it's important enough for Hakurei to magically encrypt it. The drive will corrupt itself at midnight, or earlier if it detects too much tampering. The files will open with a password, or perhaps someone on a Hakurei Industries network account with high enough access. (Unless it's spoofed right Hakurei will see it in their system logs, though.) This is not an uncommon corp procedure - Mina would guess that this data is normally kept on a secure wired system cut off from the Net, and the physical drive is used to bring it to important people who can't just go there and look. Hakurei's IT department probably has a G://0st who managed to sneak it out of the building. And onto a train? Shrug. Mina will need to overcome a 10-shift ward.

It's a pretty weird sign. The shinigami bus stop is across the yard, beyond another wire fence and on the other side of a city street, just around the corner from the nearest train station. The sign itself doesn't seem to fit its surroundings - when you're not looking at it, the details start to fade from your memory like a dream. It may or may not only exist on this street because Sun Yue needs it. Shinigami are complicated. You have a couple minutes to deal with the blood, the bodies and what they left behind, if you feel like doing anything.

He updates his notes, and then seems to jump a little when he realizes exactly what the depot must look like to an outside observer. "Erm, okay, the live ones can come with us, but can we at least stick the dead ones under a traincar or something? I don't think the morning shift wants to come over and see this, you know?" And then he looks puzzled again. "And, uh, remind me..." He turns to look at the bus sign, then looks away, trying to keep a clear picture of it...and failing.
