I think it's a much bigger get than Anthony Hopkins. Hopkins is great, but this is Robert loving Redford. Who might he be playing?

Maybe he'll be White Nick Fury.

Aren't they doing that in the comics, now? There's a Black Nick Fury who's White Nick Fury's son, I think. I quit following them a while ago. I'm kind of hoping they say that Samuel L. Jackson is Robert Redford's son and just roll with it.

He lived. I suppose it's possible, but I would bet more on an original character.

Maybe they'll be following the comic's story thread of SHIELD turning out to be secretly controlled by HYDRA. It would actually be pretty in-line with some of the stuff we saw in Avengers with Fury's superiors seeming to be huge douchebags. So, I'm calling shaving his head and being Strucker.

Man, Strucker or Dell Rusk would both work for me. The real question is how quick will people catch on to Dell Rusk's name?

That would work well, one of the major things that bothered me about Avengers was that there was an anonymous council that had the power to decide to nuke NYC. Like the tapping of every single phone in the world matching for a vocal or facial match to Loki bugged the hell out of me too, but seemed like something any spy agency with the power to do so, would do, even if I don't think they should. But a shadowy cabal being able to order nuclear strikes on one of the most densely populated cities in the world strikes a different level.

I still really like that Catwoman porn costume, and if you just put some loving pants on her that Wonder Woman one is streets ahead of the one they had in the actual Wonder Woman pilot from a year back. E: What they had her in in the CW pilot, for reference-

The Born Approx. posted:Why do nerds get such hard ons for awful looking fake costumes I don't think any of the three look particularly bad. The Batman costume has a nice Arkham Asylum/City paramilitary vibe without going full-tilt realism, and it doesn't quite look like a rubber suit. I do hope any Batman movie in the future keeps the two piece cowl from TDK, the unmovable neck really does stick out like a sore thumb now.

I hope they go in the complete opposite direction and that the next Batman movie has a costume that actually looks like some fabric is involved. Here's a fun test, if you take off the cowl, is the costume still recognizable as Batman? Bale's Batsuit just looks like some generic paramilitary Halo armor to me. You have to really be looking to even tell that there's a little bat on his chest and it's virtually never visible in the movies themselves. It'll never happen, of course.
