Also, it's been mentioned before, but can people tag their youtube links with a title of the video, or something? A link with no indication of what you're getting isn't a very attractive candidate for attention.

Several parts suppliers for that plant have unionized, the UAW is targeting it (and several other plants across the South), and they're being helped by German union IG Metall

Like why Israel? They know Mexico borders Texas right? Did Israel invade and conquer Mexico? Did they invade Texas?

Why is that tank fighting horses?

Why is the US military not handling this issue? FBI...hell the Texas State Police even.

Dude... It's a science fiction book from 1974. The Israelis have Centurion tanks powered by nuclear reactors and Gatling lasers. It's actually a pretty hilarious read.

The answer is even dumber than you might think. After World War 3 (started by the Irish :wtf:) Texas leaves the US and the story is about some Israeli mercenaries hired by the US to fight against the Texans. I spent like 6 months in Texas a few years ago and while I wanted to like the place Texans sure do make it difficult.

Considering what happened during the Troubles I'm not really surprised they picked the irish.

Benno Ohnesorg, university student shot in the back of the head by plainclothes policeman Karl-Heinz Kurras at his first political demonstration. The Bild would go on to blame the violence on the students themselves, who had been demonstrating peacefully at the Shah's visit to Germany until they were attacked by the SAVAK and the police.

Rudi Dutschke, socialist and student leader, was shot three times by an anti-communist. Dutschke survived, but had to learn anew how to speak. The would-be assassin told the police that he exclusively read the Bild. The paper had been running a smear campaign against the student movement, going so far as calling for vigilantism, and had labelled Dutschke an enemy of the people.

In Germany, tabloids murdering innocents causes riots. In Britain, everyone's too loving polite to do anything about Daily Mail columnists hounding transgendered people to suicide.

It's not pretty, but as far as I can tell not really a clusterfuck:

[The [monstrous [abortion trial] [the media] [don't want you to know about.]
[The [heavy [blue book] [he] [hit me around the head with.]

The issue is really whether you consider [the media] a plural or singular. The way I understood it, it's traditionally treated as a plural but moving towards singular more and more, so it's become more acceptable to treat it as a singular noun. (As in "The media doesn't want you to know about.")

I never knew this was the source for that macro.

I've seen a decent bit of Ochs in this thread, but hey, more is better.

These, however, are not Phil Ochs. They are Geoff Berner, who is really amazing, though Youtube doesn't have much of his that isn't from live shows, but at least some of them are decent quality.

And also Jello Biafra and DOA because that was a good album, too.
