There's some morbidly awesome about owning a real human skull. I hope someone does something cool with my remains. Donating to science/need will have to suffice I guess.

There are endless ways to adorn a human skull. I'd wrap a doo rag on mine, and put a black and mild in his mouth. I got a few $3 books from the swap meet.

iPhone 4S. Got it for free since my phone was waaay overdue for an upgrade, and I am still kind of shockedd. This is the first touchscreen phone I've ever owned as my previous model was an ancient Blackberry Curve. I'm not a phone or Mac snob by any means, and I still think of a phone as just a phone, but I am really kind of happy that I got something decent.

So last year I spent a part of my bonus money in a stupidly expensive mechanical pencil (Rotring 800). This year I stepped my game up a notch and spent a shameful amount on this beaut made from a horse's butt : http://coronadoleather.com/i-13155096-shell-cordovan-wallet6.html I've had my current cheapo wallet for 20 years and it's now falling apart. I think it's safe to say that this new wallet will outlast me.

Both the most comfortable shoe I have ever worn, and also the most expensive. They are weird frankenfoot, herman munster looking shoes, but they are incredibly comfortable and fit my feet like a giant glove. New Balance 928's if anyone is wondering. I went shopping with my mom, and decided today was the day I gave up my $9.98 wal mart shoes with the 2 velcro straps and actually got some form of good shoe. Between having my feet scanned and the lady helping me choose these over some other horrible looking birth control shoes, it was a pretty good day.

If that's not a lateral move, I don't know what is. Do you need special orthopedic shoes or something? You can get much nicer shoes with plenty of comfort and don't look like a doctor prescribed them to you. It's especially odd considering New Balance makes awesome, comfortable, stylish sneakers. I don't want to rag on you, but you can do much better. Unless you're yanking my chain -- if that's the case, you got me!

I don't really like sneakers that much, but they had hiking boots and casual hiking boots in stock (birth control shoes). They did have some other leather shoes but they were dock shoes or boating shoes, and I don't wanna wear those. Feels like my heel is constantly on the verge of popping out of em. At least these can be used as dress shoes in an emergency. All the sport shoes just felt weird on my feet. These have a narrow heel, but a wide area for the front of the foot, and since I have a high arch, it was going to be a choice between weird sneakers, birth control shoes, or these. Granted, they look boxy, but they are pretty damned comfy.

I wear a 12 wide (2E normally). Clarks apparently are medium or narrow width only. I said EMERGENCY dress shoes, i.e. if I had no other possible choice and needed something on my feet that didn't involve velcro straps or sandals. I do have some sense of decorum and taste.

Stupid_Sexy_Flander posted:I wear a 12 wide (2E normally). Clarks apparently are medium or narrow width only. It's definitely one of those things you just have to try on to see if it works for you or not. I have pretty wide feet and it's not a problem. Leather stretches out some as well so if it's a little tight at first it'd be fine later on. Clarks are usually sized down 1 full size too. If you live near a major city there will most likely be a store in the mall or something.
