Also, when a preacher says being gay is immoral, he's helping contribute to a society that hurts and occasionally murders gay people. When people call Paula Deen out on being a racist, people get at least a bit less overt about their racism, because we've demonstrated that we don't tolerate that poo poo as much as we used to.
