My first 12 deaths today were all from flaylocks, mass drivers and grenades. I was raging pretty hard. One the offenders was in the alliance, said they were running a militia fit, but with specialist flaylocks. Sorry squad for my raging, it's just hard to play a support logi when your armor tank gets shredded by a single shot from a sidearm.

So you want to see how much fun a flaylock can be? Create a new account (yes PSN DONT BE loving LAZY), put all of your SP into flaylocks after playing a few games. Hit me up 'pink FLUFF' for some isk to start you off quicker (I will double it.. promise). Run around in the new zone with a militia suit and proto flaylocks blowing people up in 1-2 hits. After laughing all the way to the "regular" battles start a match and laugh as you blow up everyone else with 2-5 hits. Enjoy your new found favorite best fit. We should create new alts with the names: Flaylock Love Flaylock Bestlock Flay the lock Locktube Newblock Flaylockified Flaylocked Flay to the Lock Lock My Flay Not Another Flaylock Flaypower Flayleetlock xXFlayLock420Xx XxXFlaylockPowerXxX XxXxFlaylockSuperSaiyenxXxX XxXxXxXxXxXFlaylockLeetDeltaforceSuperSaiyen420KillerLockXxXxXxXxXxX We can call this the "Core squad" Nothing but flaylocks and grenades. Present posted:No man, it has to be the Minmatar Assault. The problem is they get 2 low slots. A matar logi gets 4/4/4. 4 Mid 4 Low and 4 equipment slots. The 4 low slots allow (they also get more cpu/pg) for complex cats and cpu/pg enhancers if you need it. Letting the matar logi go faster for a longer period of time while having a better tank. (plus it hacks fast)

And it's really not bad over range. Haven't tried the Plasma Cannons for a while but even the top level Plasma Cannon was never this lethal, even when I gave afk enemies direct hits.

(plus it hacks fast) Sure but with Minmatar assault you get 2 core flaylock-ready weapon slots with an extra round in the clip for each one, giving you 8 rounds between the two equipped guns with a crazy fast weapon swap speed before you even need to reload one of them. The logi is limited to a single core flaylock with only 3 rounds in the clip.

Posting for proof of goon for Krysta Kayn. Also I have no idea what to do re: picking a weapon to focus on, a bit lost on that front, AR's feel ok, Shotguns seem fun if you can close distance fast enough before getting killed and so far and that's about all I know.

Let's add falloff etc, but never list range stats on item information screens  tl;dr: Is there a cheat-sheet for weapon ranges? Do the skills which formerly stated "increase range" but now say "reduce scatter" improve optimal, falloff, accuracy, or none of the above? Do breach and tactical ARs have longer range than normal? fake edit: Scan profile is bullshit, or someone had a stealth tank.

Trip Report: Using a basic minny assault suit with dual GN Specialist Flaylocks and a bunch of militia modules. It's loving fast compared to my gallente logi and none of the noobs can hit me while strafing. Two solid shots at the feet gets me a kill, and the 6 shots til reload is great, and the reload is pretty quick anyway. I can't imagine what his would be like with real mods like Kin Cats and such. verdict: Hilarious and super fun. John Flaylocke is my alt and has written a new social contract of exploding mans.

Why are flaylock so powerful? It seems like a serious oversight that a sidearm would be so good. I dropped the SP to get to level 3 on my main account and just bought the aurum core pistol. The damage is absurd. I also unlocked the first level of commando since I already had level 5 in heavy skills and didn't realize it didn't even get any slots at all until the advanced version. That's pretty lovely. It kind of makes it's racial ability useless. And it never gets grenades. What exactly is supposed to be the upside of the commando? Is having two light weapons really that useful? I think I need to make a few alts and start trying poo poo out before I buy them.

That's when I remembered to give flaylock a try and realized I had enough SP to get to tier 3. I wish I hadn't respeced on to heavy. It's too much fun to sneak up on somebody pounce leap up in the air and then start wildly shooting the ground directly in front of them. The ragdoll physics never seem to know what to do when you end up blasting somebody straight up.

The Commando's reload speed bonus potentially makes certain weapons like the Plasma Cannon, the Breach Shotgun, or the Swarm Launcher more effective. However, their low movement speed and lack of grenades make them weak as offensive units, and the low EHP (compared to basic Heavy) and extremely limited module slots hurt them as defensive units. They might be good in anti-vehicle or sniper roles, but other suits have their own benefits for those, like Scouts' low scan profile and high movement speed letting them get to good sniping positions easily, or any other suit being able to equip AV grenades. Ideally they could be kind of an equal-but-different Assault-style role but it's going to take some rebalancing for that to happen.
