That Deadpool stuff is amazing. Nothing beats an overload of the Hitchcock "Train entering tunnel" metaphor, gets me every time.

Several of those panels are also riffing off a Steranko issue of Nick Fury, seen here:

The final panel was originally Nick and his lady holding each other, but the Comics Code Authority objected, so it was replaced with the much less sexual imagery of a pistol snug in its holster.
