The new Cage song is pretty good. I'm really excited for this album, especially since he said it's more like Hell's Winter than Depart from Me, and I liked Hell's Winter a lot more.

Depart From Me was a horrible album and from what I've heard had a decent amount to do with getting DefJux shut down. Also I'm a but surprised that despite supposedly working with higher profile dudes he couldn't get his album out on a better label than EC. New song sounds decent, but I also didn't mind the first single from Depart From Me so I'll reserve judgement.

Thanks to all the folks who recommended the Spark Master Tape tape. The constant use of pitch shifted vocals gets a little tiresome but the production is so hot it all works out.

The only thing I disliked about Spark Master Tape is that he can sometimes be hard to understand (been pulling my hair out just to write up some of his lyrics on rapgenius), and the 'do you like it' is too high-pitched to fit in with the otherwise low-pitched vocals. I can see how the low-pitched vocals can get tiresome, yeah. I personally have a 'thing' for that thought, probably why I liked Captain Murphy so much. Check out his other mixtape, Syrup Splash if you haven't.

Thanks to the recent discussions on here I've found all my old Outkast CD's and been spinning them non stop. They really have aged well, the only one that seems a bit dated is Southernplayalisticadillacmuzik Aquemini is a stone cold classic

I will defend (most of) Keef's newer tracks though. Its not all off beat mumbling, though he does have awful quality control. Macaroni Time and I Ain't Done Turnin Up Yet are great if you're into that sort of thing.

I read somewhere that Cage said his newer stuff was going to be more like MFTB than anything else, and that new song has shown a little bit of him still being capable of it so I have high hopes for a rap album in 2013 for some stupid reason
