Snowglobe of Doom posted:Here's a video of some people catching, tagging and releasing a wild pallas cat for a scientific study. It's about the size of a house cat but when it realises it can't outrun the human ... well, just watch how it reacts. Oh my god, thank you so much for this. This is my new favorite youtube video. I love the Tuvan song, too. It makes me wish Richard Feynman had been able to get to Tuva before he passed away, but at least his daughter was able to go (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tuva_or_Bust!)

Parents cats: Milkshake is generally unimpressed, probably because his previous owners gave him such a stupid name Smudge does what he pleases Milkshake is still boss though My housemates cat, Tahi: He is a total poo poo, wakes me up early, digs through the recycling and shreds any mail/magazines/newspapers left lying about but I still love having a cat in the house

I have two cats, a small calico we call Grandma and a much bigger and rounder guy we call Berry. Grandma will eat practically anything that she sees humans eat, she has stolen whole ears of corn and tried to drag them off and taken entire pancakes off of a plate. I have only ever seen Berry try to steal lettuce, but he will act interested in anything he sees Grandma eating. This is grandma helping me finish off some pudding, her tactic is to stand as close to me and stare unblinkingly right in my face. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0pMjJGG9sGE This is her using my wife's dumbbells as a pillow. Studying time over, petting time now.

The money that they raise at the Lil Bub meet and greets goes to cat charities. LilBub.com about page posted:Beyond being overwhelmingly cute, exceptionally smart and painfully witty, BUB is an advocate for homeless and special needs pets all over the universe. Since before she was a star she has made it a point to spread a message of positivity. She proves that being different is better and she encourages the adoption of pets and helping those less fortunate. To date Lil BUB has directly raised more than $60,000 for various charities through her online store and meet-and-greets at animal shelters all of the country while spreading awareness about the importance of adoption, and spaying and neutering your pets.

One of my cats, Ford, helping my husband pack: Actually, he just has to sit on whatever unusual item is on the floor/chair: And he's always defiant about it. His brother, Arthur, is the one staring blankly from the back.

My Henry Cat freaking loves to make a nest out of my boyfriend's pants when he comes to visit and leaves them on the floor. In Henry Cat's defense, he does this with my pants as well, but boyfriend's pants are an extra special treat.

One of my cats does the "one paw out" pose all the time, on any surface. I only have one picture of proof, though: That is his pose of choice. Either paw out is fine. I interpret it as: "Yo, I'm here. " The black spot over his eyes à la emo bangs might be influencing me.

The cat video event was hilarious by the way because the crowd was getting angry and restless at the local musicians and other poo poo that the Walker tried to bring in as opposed to just showing us the loving cat videos we paid for. At one point the coordinator was trying to talk about how this was about more than "just cats" while the crowd in the background chanted "CATS CATS CATS CATS CATS".
