I agree with some people being annoyed at a lot of aspects of online (though threatening to quit, etc. is stupid), but this guy just sound whiny. It's hilariously fun to grief the occasional pubbie in this game, but getting made when it doesn't work? Seriously?

Two examples of my failed griefing that cracked me up: 1. Rolling around town in a loaded semi crushing pubbie peds and cars: some pubby tactical rolls out of the way and baaaaaarely clears my bumper, then shotguns me as I drive past. Next time I saw him I honked and drove off. 2. Picked up a paused pubbie's car in the cargobob. He bails out at about 200 ft and opens his parachute like 10 feet from the ground and survives, so I carefully set his car down next to him and left him alone.

Me and 2 other goons were trying (and failing quite miserably) to kill a guy with a bounty while flying Annihilators. That dude must have been so confused as to why 3 helicopters were failing to minigun him to death.

I did 30-40 rounds of minigun random targets and am at 80+ shooting. Having several thousand rounds of ammo at any time makes me want to play a support class in a survival. I have no idea what my max capacity is, I didn't want to spend 14k to find out.

I brought a buzzard to a goon with a bounty, but he thought I was trying to kill him or something and started running away. I pursued him relentlessly, even flying through a tunnel, constantly trying to land next to him (I really wish helicopters had a horn) until eventually he stopped and got out. I landed next to him and waited for him to get in, but instead he cooked a grenade and lobbed it right at me. Not one to take my $2000 hospital bill lightly I decided to pay another $1000 to have lamar send a mugger after him and extract my fee. "The mugger will approach your target soon." "The mugger is approaching your target now." "The mugger was successful but your target had no cash."

I played a few hours worth of races last night with Deutsche Nozzle and at one point we were discussing the potentially broke-ness of spawning back into freemode immediately following a grind of missions. He informs me of the ability to deposit via phone so as soon as I'm ready to power down and go to sleep I pop back in free-mode and spawn on the helipad near the water, pull up my phone, then immediately get sniped by another player camping the helicopters

I have to be the only person who doesn't give a poo poo about a $2000 penalty for dying. You can rob a store in less than 30 seconds and you get between $1000-2000. Survival missions routinely pay 15-20k. What's the problem?

I crashed into the rail and the guy had a wide open shot and emptied his whole Uzi clip into me from like 1 foot away. poo poo like that is what GTA is all about though, its hard to get pissed about it.

It is much easier to die than it is to rob a store. Also, is this the solution to whenever you get involved in a gunfight? Its a really stupid mechanic. The penalty for dying should simply be the fact that you died.

The problem is that I won't even flinch at dropping a million bucks on a car just to own it, and go back down to only a few thousand bucks that I'd rather not lose just because some random person happened to be on the same street as me and shot me just for funsies.

No, the solution is to get better at shooting. Count me as another person who doesn't think the death penalty is too steep. I like the races in this game. I'm terrible at almost any online game, but I just drive at a reasonable pace and pass people in the turns and usually come in 1st to 3rd. It's really satisfying when some guy tries to spin me out at the starting line and I drive by him after he smashes into a guard rail a minute later.  Also, I noticed some achievement/badge looking thing for rally racing with a navigator? Is this actually in the game yet?
