They routinely cost millions of dollars (plural) and, at least as of a few years ago, have to be shipped to the mining site disasembled.

The picture doesn't surprise me at all. I was an intern at an engineering firm a few years ago and doing a site visit where these guys were running rock to a stockpile area along a road cut into a hillside. On their return trip they'd routinely be flying along at 45-50 mph and I watched one hit the edge of the road where it started to go up slope and almost flip the drat thing. Those operators are loving crazy (and, I'm sure, trying to make as many trips in a day as possible).
