On that note, I hear if you put 4 power generators against eachother in a square arrangement it counts that little pixel of air between them as "blocked" and it spawns special mine into your base operatives like pissed off mole men. They're not blocked as far as I can tell. The corridor is two blocks wide, which is enough room for my couple of dozen minions to move about. Oh well, I guess it means that I'll have a steady supply of torture victims.

I don't think I even have the download link anymore. Not that it's permanently lost, but I'd still have to dig for it. Well, my rule for some time has been "get it on GOG first, only anywhere else if GOG doesn't carry it". I wish that GOG would get the new Might & Magic for obvious reasons, but UbiSoft is insisting on that uPlay bollocks and I respect GOG sticking to their principles. No no no, a proper Archer game would be like No One Lives Forever. I mean her name was even Archer! If it was Archer, who would the villain be? There's not really a consistent bad guy, other than the six million dollar man... I guess you'd play in reverse, as ISIS? Sending agents on missions instead of goons? It's also worth noting, if you've read the story, it has a completely different plot to that. It's a very hosed up, disturbing game. Even more so than the book, I feel.

If you plan on playing Settlers 2 again there's literally no reason not to get the 10th Anniversary Edition. Especially if you want to try it in multiplayer.

If I loved 3 as a kid, chances are I'll like the anniversary edition of 2? I know 3 stripped away a number of gameplay systems from 2.

Building a hardcore gaming machine that I will probably just use to play Master of Orion 2 all day I've bought several games from GOG, but that's the one I always get sucked into for 6-8 hours at a time.

Rinkles posted:If I loved 3 as a kid, chances are I'll like the anniversary edition of 2? I know 3 stripped away a number of gameplay systems from 2. You will probably like it, but there are two things that might frustrate you in the beginning: - You need to lay roads between buildings. Each road will have it's own carrier and goods are passed from one carrier to the next. Deciding where to place your buildings is thus a lot more important. If your mill is far removed from the bakery it's going to take a while before that flour is turned into bread. And if you don't build enough roads you will get bottlenecks where a carrier can't keep up with the goods he needs to pass back and forth. - You have far less control over your soldiers. You just determine how many you send to enemy military buildings and hope that all the beer and gold coins have made them more capable in battle.

I dunno they're completely different games. 2 is an economy/town sim and 3 is more of a watered down RTS. If the combat is what you liked in 3 you probably wont like 2. But if you're into building and balancing supply-and-demand economies then there aren't many games better than Settlers 2.

If you're gonna claim one then do the download test anyways, just don't claim one and use the code from your download test instead. When you claim one then post a new code all you're doing is adding a new post without actually increasing the supply of copies.

Avadon 2 has been fun so far. However I'm glad I selected "Hard" at the beginning, because even then, the vast majority of battles are quite easy. The only really hard fight I ran into could also be easily solved with a dialogue option. Here's another code for Arcania 1+2 https://secure.gog.com/redeem/u6levvhr
