I spoke with Onmi about this. Basically, the issue is that you can see what your final reward is the day before you can cash it in. It's a little confusing (at first, but I think it's good design), but he's not suffering a bug or whatever. So, after tanking my ELO yesterday (not purposely) playing Swiss, I played some ranked matches and had a 5-win streak today. So I'm back up to 1100. Yea!

Ok, so if I want to tank rating tomorrow so I can farm cheevos on noobs, which ones do I need to hit? 209 card deck 10 wins with a Singleton deck 10 win streak 30 wins with each faction 10 damage overkill Did I miss any?

I'm actually liking some of the interplay on the Stronghold deck. It's kind of funny torching my own creatures, throwing kitten warriors at blocks of HP after dropping Blood of my Tribe to make it easier to sneak some magic levels in. Also, the strike anywhere creatures really seem to gently caress with other newbies and Immolate just makes people panic I'm finding.

Encountered my first raging rear end in a top hat pubbie. I beat some guy 300 Elo over me and on the last turn he said "bad game" so I replied with "ez win" and he raged at me in chat for a few minutes in chat after the game was over.

Shaar is just really weird since Earth doesn't really contribute that much to the Air/Fire playstyle (Insect Swarm is kinda nice I guess). Kelthor just feels like a better fit. I have three copies of her though so I guess at some point I might try her out.

Anyone else run into those players that let their turn timer run out every round whether they've got anything to play or not? Just burned twenty minutes on a game that should've been over fifteen earlier. Would've been closer if the Ariana player had used my enrage counters rather than letting me abuse them.

I've only encountered someone like that once -- he was playing one of those stall decks with Stone Shield, Altar of Shadows, etc, and on the last turn he kept clicking on the Tower of Oblivion that was in his hand and would obviously do lethal damage, but then deselecting it after he'd shown it to me. He did that until about 2 seconds left on the turn counter, at which point he actually played it and killed me. I have two monitors and just do whatever if my opponent is taking a long time to play, so it was more funny than irritating.

So, how do you super fast surrender while still gaining a tiny bit of xp/gold. I hit my opponent with Altar for 2 but that didn't seem to get me credit.

If someone "thinks" too much in the first few turns, I just concede. I can get multiple games in against people who don't take forever instead of one game against a slow or stalling player.

I feel that way playing my godawful Haven deck, I'm at 600something ELO and I'm like, "I should get below 500 for a while, while I still can". Then I still win 60% of my games instead of 80% and the people play a bit faster above 500ELO, so, shrug.

Won my first match. Used a starter haven deck against another starter haven deck, and naturally it lasted about 16 turns and took forever, I had like 11 cards left of a 59 card deck. I was never in danger in losing (ended with 19 health) but cyclone can be such a stall troll. I can't wait to ditch all the poo poo in the deck, stuff like enchanting a creature to attack the back row is such a waste. Also ditched all fortune cards over 2 so I wouldn't have to spend any turns leveling up fortune (and those cards suck). I kinda wish I picked inferno to start, should've done my research I guess before making important decisions.

Maybe I just don't 'get' the inferno starter deck because I sure the gently caress don't like it much  all the creatures seem lovely. And now I got past Fleshfucker and am stuck on the tutorial fight vs Poisonman whose creatures are all INCREDIBLE, like 5/6 toughness with poison infect poo poo that my dudes can't even touch. Drew my only Fireball and cast it on 3 things and only 1 died.E: also, what time does the daily login quest reset?

It's nice to see new goons joining us each day. From the goons I've talked to, they're all really enjoying this game a lot too, which is cool. I played games against Protagoras, TaoJones, Nebiros today. Amazing games against all of them, and I want to thank Nebiros for sticking with the series although my deck is worth like 3x as much as his. It's bizarre that Protagoras, TaoJones, and myself are all playing similar Academy decks without any planning. Good taste in cards, maybe?

You aren't playing Myranda decks are you? I discarded my trusty Garant for her today, and am really loving the academy playstyle. Unless I get matched against the naga champion that deals damage to immobilized cards, I hate that one.
