Is there some sort of magic required to sleep at a rest stop? There is only one space left, but when I park in it I can't go to sleep. :/

Go to the closest zoom on your GPS and make sure you're sitting like right on top of where the rest icon is. I've seen times where it looks there's a spot that should be where I park, but it wants me up against a curb instead or something like that.

Here's a fun one. You know those gas stations where the pump is just off the side of the road? Pull in there. Gas up. Unhitch the trailer right at the pump and then pull forward and sleep. Wake up to find traffic backed up for miles as people wait for your trailer to move so they can get gas.

So, after playing with a wheel I wanted to go back to 360 controller (ījust 'cause I don't feel like taking the wheel out of a closet, plugging it in and everything) and I just can't get it to auto-center. By that I mean that when I let go of the left stick, it would move the wheel to center, ie going straight. I have the auto-centering turned on in the Gameplay menu ... the 360 pad selected and type set up as gamepad/joystick .. and nothing. I can't drive it this way at all. Am I crazy and it never worked that way or is something wrong. I tried everything I could think of, like deleting controls.sii and setting up the gamepad again. Nothing. I've been trying to get it to work for the last hour... I could have set up the wheel hundred times over in that time. gently caress.

Have you made sure "Controller Subtype" is set to "Gamepad, Joystick" on the controls option page? Also, yeah, check your deadzones. (further down on the same page) Kilonum fucked around with this message at 21:35 on Jan 6, 2014 |

I gave my baby to a hired driver because I had just enough to expand, hire two drivers, but only buy one truck. Back to quick jobs now, but now that I can drive 6x4-2 chassis, it's a lot less headache. Is there a way to see engine specs from the quick job selector, or is it just a picture of the tractor? I got stuck with a poo poo engine hauling a 25t excavator over the goddamned Swiss Alps, assumed it wasn't the base engine because it was a 6x4. Lesson learned. I didn't take off the driver plates, so now new hire Stefany is tooling around in a black Volvo with HAILSATAN and METAL666 on the front. Is there a mod that makes enemies not decide to drive under the limit on every single road in the game? Roundabouts aren't as annoying as side roads when people are driving at 50km/h when the limit is 90. Or they crowd a highway and drive at 70km/h so I need to weave through them.

A new engine unlocked for my peon's Streamline, but it didn't appear in the list when I tried to put it in. Thought a old mod may have been interfering with it so I updated one and then tried disabling when that didn't work. Ended up being the DC16 engines can't be used without upgrading from the stock cabin.

Not sure about going from one mod to another, that could cause dramas.

Try it, worst thing that'll happen is you'll need to revert to an earlier save. I'm constantly loving about with mods and haven't had to do that, though, the game is very tolerant. My present profile started with the vanilla game and Going East, I added ProMods Scandinavia and Rebuilding Poland, then removed and replaced them with TSM, no issues at all. The game detects the world has changed, cancels any trips in progress, automatically moves your truck to a safe location.
