you're thinking of the ps2 and dvds. ps3 sold really bad its first few years, while ps2 sold like crazy and thus dumped dvd playback into everyone's home.

pretty much a combination of this, studio support and higher capacity discs

hddvd did away with region coding which obviously suited the consumer too much so that was doomed to failure

almost no blu-rays actually do region coding though, and event he ones that do the regions are now out of a set of 3 instead of the like 6 geographical + a few more specialty regions for dvds.

yes but if your employer reports your salary and other income it p much ceases to become voluntary

i know they're not thinking that far ahead but they basically want employers to stop declaring their own inputs and outputs of money, and if it's not practical to systematically audit every citizen auditing every company reporting nothing is much more practical

/r/bitcoin, I lost a lot of money in yesterday's crash. What should I do? (self.Bitcoin)
submitted 1 hour ago* by lost_money_inbitcoin

I have my life savings in Bitcoin right now which is about $13,000 USD. I bought in at $990 (because I thought the price would go back up to $1000+). I held strong during the slow trend downwards but yesterday with bitstamp crashing to below 570, I decided to sell all of my bitcoin and was going to get out before it bottomed. This morning it got over $700 again so I decided to quickly buy back in @ $700 so now I'm sitting at ~10.5 BTC compared to the ~13 BTC I held yesterday, so really I'm only down ~2.5BTC, however, I'm technically down over $6000 USD since my initial investment. So now since I realize I'm in trouble and have no idea what I'm doing, I want your opinions on what I should do...

Thanks.
