13 INCH DICK posted:Fucker just relisted the 2002 for 2500 Yeah, that's why I was kind of surprised at the listing in the first place and was encouraging you jump on it. All of that said, selling the Honda for twice what you paid for it is still a good deal and even if this one guy is jacking up his price, if you're patient there are still deals to be found out there. Sorry about that though, it's always a bummer when that happens.

To be fair, unless there's a serious condition problem that 2002 is worth $2500. At least. It's dickish to raise the price after agreeing to it with a buyer, though.

I was sitting here thinking, what could I cheer you up with? I found this: http://seattle.craigslist.org/see/cto/4360607523.html The pass fender could use some hammer pounding, but the rest is pretty awesome. In fact, if I didn't have the 2002 right now I'd probably buy the poo poo out of that. Oooh, also: http://seattle.craigslist.org/kit/cto/4377002672.html

I want it, but I'm unlikely to be able to afford it with the newest price jump and quite frankly its the only car on CL I want. And the whole price jump whether justified or not is a serious pet peeve of mine, possibly enough to walk away from because I'm not going to get in a dick waving bid war e: found the ad again and back to 1900 maybe I saw an old version of the ad INCHI DICKARI fucked around with this message at 18:52 on Mar 16, 2014 |

Came off freeway. Out of nowhere temp gauge pegs. Pull over, boiling over. Pyrometer readings of 250 at radiator, 225 at thermostat, hoses were both 205. Fan wasn't running. Jumpered fan motor it spins, got a new cooling fan switch coming through work. Why was the heat most concentrated in the radiator like that? I mean I get its purposes but usually its cooler than the engine being away from the heat source.

13 INCH DICK posted:Why was the heat most concentrated in the radiator like that? I mean I get its purposes but usually its cooler than the engine being away from the heat source. When you stop moving and the heat load starts to sink from the coolant to the things around it the radiator is going to do it first/most effectively. So basically everything was at least 250. But you weren't reading direct coolant temps - you were reading the temps of things that have coolant in them with very different heat transfer properties.

Could it also indicate a blocked return or is that red herring?

Boiled over getting it back to the shop. Replaced the fan switch and OEM radiator cap, the fan switch had peg terminals which of course the old connectors disintigrated on removal and the parts store didn't have any so I loving stripped some wire and zip tied it to the terminals and it works. No more boiling over but still seems to run warm in stop and go which I understand is the hardest time for heat dispersal. And to the jackasses who keep seeing me maintaining an appropriate following distance in the rain and decide to cut over in front of me and brake check to slow down, this is my contact patch.

Well, gently caress, I couldn't find it either. Hopefully someone else knows what I'm talking about and shares the link? They kind of cheated by removing the engine and firewall, but the point was to demonstrate how much bigger the body is.

Either way, I remember seeing something like that with a cardboard model of a original mini inside a new one. Of course I can't find anything with google either.

I was thinking of this car the other day because I saw a guy swapping a Chinese 150cc motor into a 49cc Ruckus. Then he turboed it. I guess what I'm saying is, you should triple the displacement. Then turbo it. I bet if you wait around a Honda Goldwing long enough they'll lowside and you can pull what's left of the frame into the hatch and speed off.
