I could really use some assistance, I found this kitten outside my apartment, it keeps getting into my garbage and it doesn't have a collar. I assume it must be a stray, but I already have 4 cats and really don't think I could introduce this little fella without causing some problems. I'm not a hundred percent sure on his age, but if he is from this years litters he is probably at least 7 months old. I included some pictures, in case anyone can help me pin down his breed, I figure he's just a domestic long hair, but an exact breed would be cool if he is purebred. I am only using he because I have been unable to get close enough to sex it. Thanks very much!

The breed looks to be a Maine Coon to me. They are great cats but they get pretty big

Boyd, that isn't a cat. I'm pretty sure that's actually a dog.

Bite an ear to establish dominance. Don't do a MorallyInept.

Are you all stupid and blind or something? OP, don't listen to these fuckwits, they're obviously trolling you. Look at those large, rounded ears. It's obviously a purebred serval kitten! My cousin has one, so I'm totes positive. Here's a picture of her serval cat.

OP, if you get close enough to your astonishingly Racoon-shaped kitten, you will find out why our local animal shelter gives out nets to catchers send to retrieve them. Nets and thick gloves. If you don't want the kitten in your trash, just feed it. Here, this should teach you what the "kitten" needs.

I think you should pick it up, carry it inside, and show it the love and acceptance that your new friend deserves.
