Thanks, ended up going with the base Iveco on the multiplayer mod. If 1300nm is this bad, I can only imagine 1000. Hilarious watching dudes have to swerve to avoid my slow rear end as I crawl up minor inclines. Even had a few wreck on hairpin turns just after passing me, well it's a hairpin at 100kph+. Even enemy drivers in single tended to at least stay on the road. Anyone know how well mods play with ETS2MP? Their FAQ is poo poo.

You're not actually giving them your Steam account, it authenticates through Steam Community and then passes the authentication along. Just Cause 2 MP did the same thing.

Its an issue with how SA embeds the video and the Youtube HTML5 player. I pointed it out to the staff, but it doesn't seem to be a priority. Disable Youtube HTML5 on that browser (its a local cookie'd setting) and you should have the button you desire.

If failing deliveries for this reason is something that annoys you, then you should steer clear of Europoort and pretty much the whole of the UK.

Fantasy paint jobs dropped on Steam today, normal price is the same as the other non-nationalistic pain jobs, but until the 27th (Sunday) it's 80% off (only $0.40) http://store.steampowered.com/app/304210

meecrob posted:I made a few mods and threw them upon the SCS mod\other forums and thought I would share here. I have only been playing the vanilla game for a couple of weeks, and decided to install these mods. Since I'm on the 1.10+ I used the appropriate ones, and I'd like to say thanks for these mods. Although I already have a fully upgraded Scania Streamline and I've noticed a subtle but very nice difference in both acceleration and braking. I use the Real Automatic option for the transmission and a game-pad controller for driving. For me it just seems these two mods provide a smoother sense of momentum and handling. It does seem as though there's a slight decrease in fuel efficiency on my 6x4 chassis, but I haven't really made any real test of this, and I'm sure once I finally invest in Eco-Driving, it won't make a whit of difference. Anyway, thanks for these and the gear transitions really do seem much more smooth. I do use the speed limiter, as I found out quite quickly that I'm far too prone to hitting 135kph and losing control too easily. Nevertheless, if anyone else is interested, I really like the general improvement to both feel and handling the Engine and Transmission mods here are worth a look. I still can't park a load properly, but I'm slowly learning how the turning works on backing up a trailer without taking ages to correct its placement. Edit: corrected which transmission type I use Corzen fucked around with this message at 23:02 on Jul 24, 2014 |

I was driving around some I need even more and harsher adverse weather. Torrential rainfall, 100km/h winds, hail, snow. Just try to stop my ammunition train. Edit: Huh actually I've been playing too much and I'm confusing my cargo. I'm currently shipping ammo to Scottish nationalists in Aberdeen; the fog episode was toxic gas or something. Damned inconsiderate place to leave your digger. Honestly, anyone could be coming down that hill at 120km/ph in the rain and need the full width of the road to make the turn successfully. But no, you had to leave your digger there. Guess I'm not getting paid for this job.

Largepotato posted:The only mod I consider essential is Jazzycat's trailer and cargo mod Yeah, modding used to be a lot more critical but they fixed a lot of the old problems in various patches. The only things I use these days are some of Jazzycat's packs -- aside from the trailer and cargo mod, some of his traffic mods are great too and just add variety -- and Improved Weather Reloaded. Although the current version of Improved Weather makes your own headlights/high beams/beacon fairly weak, so you might want to wait for the next version (apparently coming soon) if that will bother you. People also like TSM and ProMods for map expansions, those are in the OP.

+1 for Jazzycat Cargo mod. His AI mods are nice too. I just can't stand the Hummers, Escalades, 300s, etc in there. I also hate the Harley because it just doesn't look right in action. I edit out all of the American bullshit he throws in there and am good.

meecrob posted:+1 for Jazzycat Cargo mod. I don't mind all that, but I suggest avoiding the Russian traffic pack unless you want hard mode on your game. There's a couple cars in there that do like 30 mph all of the time, even on the freeway. Good if you want the "oh poo poo here's an old person that doesn't know how to drive and now I'm gonna wreck it" experience but I found it annoying after awhile. duz posted:Those are supposed to be like that, the pattern is only visible from certain angles. If you spin the truck, you should see the pattern becoming visible on different parts of the truck body. As far as I've been able to tell, the pattern is only visible on the top, while the sides alternate between the other two colors depending on what angle you look at the cab. Maybe I just haven't had the right angle to see the pattern elsewhere.

I found the patterns won't appear unless you rotate the camera if you are using the metallic paints or the flip paints. Only one angle doesn't make them work, sort of like those cheap holograms you may have gotten as a kid.

After playing a bit more with your engine and transmission mods, I take back my previous assumption that they caused a slight decrease in fuel efficiency. In fact, after testing it with identical trailers and tonnage over identical routes, it actually seems as though they're MORE fuel efficient. Nearly, to the point of having the first box of Eco-Driving for free. I guess it's the smoother gear transitions that causes this, but nevertheless, they're a couple of really great mods.
