Absolutely outstanding for Allmendinger. I couldn't be happier for him. Struggling from the outset with Team Red Bull as a team and manufacturer start-up, losing the Penske ride, working his way through Phoenix Racing and the Nationwide Series, then winning with JTG barely a year after joining them. So huge, so awesome. I go with the consensus, glad something good happened today.

The kid just seems to be there at the finish every week. Definitely the best rookie to come through in a while. I wasn't sure how he would fair this week, plus I only have 2 starts left with him for fantasy. If I took my chances with him this week I would have had a 1,2,3,4 finish. Instead I had 1,2,3,17. I can be happy with that I guess.
