Kind of bummed if there isn't an option to do Matchmaking for specific games (i.e Halo 3 and Halo 2), customs are manageable I guess but it would be cool to just play nicer-looking-Halo 3 multiplayer and just that. Oh well, I'm not going to be buying/playing the game for a while anyways Any idea how they're going to handle player skins? Will the halo 4 and halo 3 skin setups be isolated from each other, or will you end up seeing those weird over-designed 4 skins in 3, and the decent but simple 3 skins in 4?

I would be cautious about calling Halo 5 a clone of Halo 2, especially with abilities returning and the various mentions of 'weapon sets'.

The Halo 2 Anniversary gameplay videos as re awesome. For those of you guys who have watched the gameplay videos you may have seen loadouts on the screen. Frankie confirmed that all the games actually have EQUAL STARTS (just FYI before anyone flips out when they watch the videos)

Don't you essentially vote on what game you want to play before each match? I don't think they're forcing anyone to play Halo 4. Either way there is no way a future Halo title reaches the sustained popularity of Halo 3. CoD is simply much bigger at this point, is available on every system, and along with Battlefield gets a new release every year that people flock too. Making Halo 5 more similar to Halo 2 or 3 would probably satisfy fans like me but I wouldn't bet on it recapturing the undisputed, most poplar console FPS again. It will always sell millions of copies, probably less now because of the unpopularity of the Xbox, but I would bet most people have moved on from having Halo as their go to game. For me, that started with Reach, by far the worst Halo in my book.

Also remember that, as amazing as Halo 3's sustained playerbase was, when it came out it was basically the only not-totally-broken competitive shooter this side of a PC. There's just too much competition now for any game, even COD, to hold those kinds of numbers.

I'm with Mick on this one, I mean Black Ops 2 came out 5 days after Halo 4 and right now CoD is the biggest console FPS there is, its not really a competition anymore. The lay of the land when H3 came versus H4 is like night and day. Really hard to compare the two in regards to numbers and players sustainability.

I think H3 had about a year until MW1 hit and no one really knew COD was going to explode like it did. H3 really only had that to compete with, with GoW a very distant third.

They came out the same year actually, MW1 came out a month after Halo 3, thing is while MW1 was very successful the franchise didn't really explode like it did till MW2 which came out in 09.

No Reach and ODST?  I doubt we will see them down the road unless Halo 5 Guardians of Ga'hoole takes off. It feels like Microsoft is so salty about Bungie leaving they left out the games made after the separation announcement. If I'm remembering things right.I am liking remasters, though. I guess I'm buying this
