the problem isn't just with known transmittable stuff, but if when there's another thing that pops up the more at risk populations will be overrepresented in the stats, and with the sucker punch that hiv/aids was to the blood banks when it came out, yeah, it's an issue

depending on what it is and how it's transmitted odds are msm dudes will be more vulnerable, pretty sure everything of note is transmittable by blood

now this being said a lifetime ban is overly harsh, and there's a trend towards temp exclusions, and this is a good thing
