I think it's because their helmets collided.

It was heads up. Facemasks touched, but it wasn't a helmet hit in any way.

I'm not saying it was a great call, just speculating on what the officials might have seen.

To be fair, even as someone who's not high on your passing game, that'd probably do the job nearly as well against Tech.

Apparently you either have to gameplan to go all-out passing, or all-out rushing. If you try to go balanced, then you're probably still going to beat us, just without as many points.

Huge stop there, if we can burn some clock and get at least a FG and go into halftime down by 1 I'll be pretty happy.

Yeah. Still, to lose by 10, and know 7 of those points came off of your completely raw backup QB turning it over - that'd get me thinking about what might have been, at least for a bit.

This is the kind of drive that gets Hundley talked about as a legit Heisman candidate. If he played like this on every drive in every game we'd be a terrifying offense.

Fantastic drive, god drat.

Woof.

This team is hard to watch. The defense was much better, even with the terrible deep ball defense. Webb looked good in spurts. But when you add in the terrible penalties (called back a return TD, a 37 yard punt return, and the countless offensive penalties), drops, and dumb turnovers, you get a game that's 21-14 at the half and a game that gets away from us toward the end.

Still, the guys competed better than I expected, but I also don't think we're going bowling this season.
