The comics showing black people responsible for the deaths of police because they had the audacity to non-violently complain about injustice (and some of those like Obama where he was trying to be as middle of the road as possible) are so outrageously racist I suspect they will be in text books in a hundred years pointing out how lovely our society was that they were a predominant position. At least they won't be able to white wash the past like all the pro-racist poo poo from the 50's and 60's.

It seems to me that a lot of people can't conceive that the public anger actually comes from the public itself. But they don't really look at them like autonomous citizens so clearly they are incited. Maybe they're projecting.

I'd say it's more that he doesn't favor either side. While Latuff usually tends to be anti-US, being anti-US in this situation would mean having to side with North Korea, and even Latuff isn't going to make a cartoon that's pro-North Korea, they're literally everything hates. (Oppressive regime with total control of the people, zero freedom to do anything, media is 24/7 pro-North Korean propaganda, a literal cult based around the Kims, well-off elites while the rest of the population in grinding poverty, any attempt at rebellion/reform crushed instantly, all that stuff.)

Also, a cyber arm-wresting match is sorta what we're doing, except Obama is gonna slam Kim Jong Un's arm right through the table ten seconds later. :v:

Latuff was unironically pro-Ghaddafi back in 2011 because the US was fighting him and US bad therefore Ghaddafi good.

He's also drawn pro-PRC and pro-Putin cartoons before based entirely on them being opposed to thing US supports. This is a very common problem with the far left nowadays.

It's perhaps ironic that the people accusing Latuff of oversimplifying events by always being anti-American are in fact the ones oversimplifying his stances so they fit that narrative. Latuff's the one that doesn't think terms of us vs them. He's a bigger fan of The People versus The Enemies Of The Proletariat.
