I looked at poweramp but it seems like the big selling point is the equalizer which I kind of don't care about, I'm an oonts fan, use of an equalizer requires me to not be utterly tone deaf

same, except then i give up because its a terrible program and just install MediaMonkey. I put it in micro-mode which basically makes it just a small bar that i can have in the taskbar or docked somewhere. MM is probably the best easy to use player that doesnt require autistic sperging to install, but having a lot more (and useful) features than winamp while being light and unobtrusive

I highly recommend Poweramp (and I don't even use the equalizer). It's the only app I've ever bought and it's great.
