If you want to see baby chicks hatching in an incubator, Velvet Spoon's Chickam is now moved back from the brooder box to the incubator to watch the second hatch. Four are already out early and peeping furiously, and more are due within the next few hours or days :allears:.

False, ducks are the hugest A-holes ever. I have two ducks that come around my front yard several times a week. One of them came blitzed me when I was coming out of my garage, it pecked at my shoe and then pooped in my garage as I was getting some food for it. Now, they expect food from me daily, good thing I got some extra bread laying around.

Just because they get their pleasure by being violent thieving necrophiliac rapists doesn't mean they're not happy. They're just sociopaths.

Hey, I don't want to be the rear end in a top hat who brings down the cute thread, but if you're going to feed the ducks regularly, consider picking up some actual duck food pellets, or maybe just some uncooked oatmeal or peas or leftover peels from carrots or other veggies (which saves you throwing them away!). Bread doesn't really have any nutritional value for them, can make them sick, and can cause young ducks' wings to grow in weird. Also it's imperative you provide pictures of your new jerk duck friends.

As penance for being a bummer here's my cat Ozma flipping out about the catnip I put in her basket:

South America has the best rodents. You can really see the resemblance to chinchillas in these guys, especially from the angle in that last photo.

Capys are my favourite because they're huge guinea pigs but pretty much every rodent from the continent is lovely.

Thank you, actually. I was not aware of that and wouldn't want to feed them poorly. The good news is that they haven't been fed any bread and mostly been getting little scraps of chicken. I will definitely get something much better for them so they don't have issues like that.

Here's a picture of the accosting duck

Additionally here is a quick rundown of my furry roomies that I hang out with. Please note: they don't pay for rent, food or beer. They're horrible freeloaders.

Meet Driver. Need to use the sink to shave in the morning? Tough luck.

This is Cammy; apparently confused and thinking that everyday is Pirate Day.

Next off is Aden. She's a mouthy dog and she'll let you know what's on her mind...a lot.

Finally, we got Stella. She's a Chow Retriever mix and she is definitely a special dog.

She also likes Hide & Seek. She's good at seeking but hiding, eh, not so much.

I love how it's really just a capy being a capy: sitting there doing its thing, there just happens to also be puppies running around. I love them.

The first time I ever saw one in person was at a zoo and it was standing in front of a pile of food eating. Then it slowly, very slowly, fell onto its side. Then it kept eating while on the ground. I could spend the rest of my life working on my zen mind and I would never reach that level of chill.
