There have been many changes to the binding so old scripts probably won't work right. The built in key binding works perfectly fine and you can actually adjust curves for joysticks and save your keys, so consider trying to do all your binds that way.

Every time you update AC is deletes any saved bindings you might have had, and if you haven't played since 0.8 the differences will be significant. Hit escape and there should be an options menu that lets you play around with keybindings.

Aren't they making a primarily arena 6dof shooter? Don't see how they could screw that up hard, it requires a competent level designer and some lovely 3d models and laser effects, all thrown into unity3d and exported to all platforms. Done.

I'm actually interested in it. If only as a contrast to the endless moneywell that is SC. They have to make do with the bare minimum of funding, so it is likely that they will (or have to) cut most of the feature creep in favor of the core game. The result might be fun, and actually help the SC folks to fix their own priorities. With Descent being scheduled to release in a year or two, it will sync up nicely with the first alpha release of the social module and the 6th Constellation rework, so there'll be plenty of time to adjust the course for the PU

Nah, a random guy in the controller thread. They're really bitter about this not being a "Sim first", to the point of packing up their joysticks. Makes you wonder if they play any sims at all, my joystick gets at least 30 hours use a month and I don't even touch star citizen.

As they said they would do after the Arena Commander release debacle, they're not giving hard dates anymore, and they've now even shied away from the sort of rough estimates given out at the FPS event. Now, they're just sticking to giving after the fact updates on what's been done, and near term plans for what they're working on, instead. We'll see if that holds true once  gets an inkling of an impending release, and then can't keep his fat mouth shut and starts trying to build up expectations for another inevitable missed date.

And if CIG manages to prevent Beer and his org from having too much fun at the expense of others (at least within UEE borders), then this game just might be fun for me. I don't expect to have to create new accounts or characters on a regular basis, as a law-abiding citizen and player, who is disgusted by griefers.
