Here's a very lovely script for those of you who like to AFK in online and not get killed or ran over by others constantly. http://www.mediafire.com/download/w8dlanwld4hed5r/getaway.rar You need the GTALua scripting engine for this which you can get from here: http://gtalua.com/ This works online but I'm not going to provide you with a bypass especially when 99% of you have one. You can edit the script any way you want and add more to it blah blah fuckin blah because it's Lua. Enjoy this good for nothing piece of poo poo if you decide to ever use it! PS: Someone who knows his poo poo, please hook a nigga up with a way to do lines 33-34 more conveniently. Edit: Oh right how can I walk off without explaining how to open the menu. Press the INSERT button to open/close. Remove line 16 and 23 or comment them out if you don't want the menu to close each time. Just stumbled on this Trucker mod. This is actually really loving cool. Another example of a mod that starts off with a simple idea and grows into a full-fledged addition to the world. Looks like the same guy also made Ambulance missions. Random mod request: The ability to add new songs and edit the playlists of existing radio stations. I like how it's all sorted by genre. I did it by using the default mount type for moving with a target, used the smooth blend mode and alternating between looking at target (player). Obviously I changed the camera angles throughout the video. Man, I'd love to see something like that be the in-game camera. I don't even understand what the point of the 'cinematic' camera is. If you use it for more than 2 seconds, you are going to crash your vehicle. I've been trying to dip into some LUA modding for the first time. I have a zillion tiny questions that I can't google, and I have no idea what information may or may not apply to GTA 5 modding in particular. For instance I tried for several hours to make a script that automatically turns on the appropriate turn signal whenever you press left or right. I can get it to work if I use the wait(100) command which I guess is a super-jank way to delay your script for a second to make sure it completes correctly. The reason its super-jank is that every time it gets referenced all LUA scripts are disabled for a split second which is crazy noticeable if you've added any UI elements. I've been trying to figure out the correct way to add a momentary delay, so I tried picking through some existing mods and found some weird methods that I couldn't get to work, turns out most people just use wait. I'd love like a chat or an iRC of some kind to ask these kinds of questions. My plan was to look at existing mods and figure it out that way which works well to an extent, but it turns out there's a lot of... redundancy I guess? A lot of commands that mean the same thing, and everybody uses different ones. Two pieces of code that look wildly and completely different can somehow accomplish the same thing in the same way. Not to kill this thread with cinematography derails, but watching these videos have made me realize that I've really never paid attention to how the camera works in good shootouts. I keep trying to think how Heat or Dredd or Miami Vice or Way of the Gun used their camera and why they made good, comprehensible action. I do know that no one's really used a zoom since the late 70s / early 80s, and that most shots are either static setups, shot/reverse-shot, simple dolly shots, steady-cam shots, or shaky-cam shots. We've already seen that the cinematic cam and chase cam angles are pretty unnatural, and I'm guessing that we don't really have a good shaky-cam filter, so that leaves you with simple dolly shots, and static camera setups ... if you're trying to make something that resembles an action movie and not a video game. Besides the Killer Clown (and Songbearer's O'Mally raid piece), does anyone else have any good GTA V videos that skew more towards the natural camera setup?

These arent half assed fake mods either, the guy who made these obviously knew what they were doing, they even had incremental updates too. I don't know much about modding, but I don't think you can alter an .asi file unless you have the source code. That's a big reason people don't like them, because if you want to do something simple like change a keybind, you have to personally ask the modder to do it for you. AngryPlanes is probably pretty simple to make though, so it's possible somebody made the exact same mod and republished it. Marston's character model is in the game because he's one of the Online genetic parents (even though that doesn't really matter anymore) so all you have to do is set your model to be his and you can play as him. You're telling a story of someone who eventually throws himself off a bridge, so any shots you can add to tell that story would be better than just 5 seconds of Dude Walking. Otherwise, really great stuff, with good camera work and nice editing.
