football.

They were in the AFC Championship game last year and they improved their team a lot in the offseason. Their main competition in the AFC is the Patriots who got worse in the offseason and will be without Brady for some period of time.

I'm happy to unravel any other football mysteries for you guys.

Basically every AFC team has some number of critical flaws. The Colts probably have the easiest time overcoming their problem by having literally anyone else knock off the Patriots (or going 4 wide and laughing as the scrubbiest scrub is lined up on Andre Johnson).

Colts have a very easy schedule. Also odds are designed to get suckers to throw money away.

Also calling Cowboys as super bowl winner now.

It's not irrelevant if they don't make the playoffs because they start 0-4.

If you need Tom Brady to beat the Jags you probably don't deserve to be in the playoffs.

And they absolutely would be in the playoffs even if they started 0-4, somehow

Okay well even if they stayed the same (which I don't agree with because Frank Gore > Richardson, AJ > Reggie Wayne, Trent Cole > whoever they had starting), they're definitely winning a terrible AFC South, making the playoffs, and probably getting back to the AFC Championship game. Andrew Luck is also probably going to be even better this year because Andrew Luck.

Let me play devil's advocate and say they start 1-3, and then lose maybe two or three more games with Brady back, they could still end 10-6 and miss the playoffs. Especially if the Dolphins don't dolph and the Bills and Jets defense actually lives up to their hype.

or do I like Picard?
Colts have the best odds to make the super bowl??? i would have bet on the Broncos and Peyton Manning's extremely durable arm, or the Brady-less Patriots, or maybe the Steelers who lost to the drat buccaneers last year

That's entirely possibly going by last year; Most Rushing yards given up by the Colts:

1. 246 - Patriots (RS)
2. 177 - Patriots (AFCC)
3. 137 - Texans
4. 136 - Texans

Patriots way motherfuckers.

The Bengals only ran for 32 yards against the Colts last year. How the gently caress did that happen? How do you lineup against the defensive line the Colts have and run the ball 11 times?

I guess that I don't need that though
Now you're just some QB that I used to know
Brady being suspended absolutely matters because while they would probably still make the playoffs, they may not have that sweet first round bye or home field advantage.

The Texans defense really started clicking toward the end of the season and was unreal and has gotten better in the offseason and will pick up where it left off and Clowney is going to come back 100% of his former self and Mallett is going to break out for a 4000 yard 30 TD 12 INT season and I'm going to wake up lying face down in my tear-soaked pillow and refuse to turn my head away from it and embrace the sweet release of death

Actually I would not be at all surprised if the Texans had a year of surprising competence from one of their trash heap QBs and reached the AFCCG only to have their poo poo kicked in by the Colts who go on to win the Superbowl and then regression to 2013 Schaub levels the following season
