I don't know why I haven't beaten Graces f. I literally saved right outside the boss of the epilogue like a year ago and I haven't turned it on since. Same for Tales of Xillia. Stopped to do some sidequests right before final boss, gave up, haven't played in months. Bought the Tales of Symphonia + Sequel on PSN, never downloaded it. I actually forgot I even had it till I was typing up this post. Shinjobi posted:Tales of Graces F was fun as hell, and despite how unimaginative the story was I really miss the hijinks of its cast. Tales of Graces is probably my favorite game in the series, followed by Abyss. Granted, I only started playing from Symphonia. But yeah, the characters were just so great. I kept missing the dynamics from Graces as I was playing Xillia. Like, the characters in Xillia aren't bad and I like how messed up they can be, but nothing can type the after-battle bits / skits in Graces f. Also, Graces f has Pascal and Sophie, whereas the other games decidedly do not.

I never really got what the hate for Graces story was, it seemed about the same as all the other Tales games to me.FirstAidKite posted:Contra 3 is good but I liked Hard Corps more Contra 3 feels paced better to me, Hard Corps is practically a boss rush the whole way through and getting rid of the health system from the JP version just pushed it on to the wrong side of difficult for me.

Even with it being harder than its japanese release, Hard Corps was still really fun, and I liked the boss rush aspect to it combined with all the different branches and how all 4 characters had unique weapons and playstyles. Game also had really good sprites and animations.

Shattered Soldier was good too, even though it was a shame it had to go 3D instead of still using sprites. The soundtrack kind of made up for it though.

I just finished Ping Pong and I literally cried this episode. Jesus christ. I have never cried for an anime in... god, a long a time. Not even Gurren Lagann. Just... wow.

Today in Akiba I picked up a new Saber figure. With the other ones in my small collection, I have like five different Sabers, with another two I'm planning on getting within the next couple months. Collecting these things is starting to consume me, but I like it? This is a curious feeling.

Just Arturias for now, but Sakura Saber, one of the two I plan on getting, is Japanese and a different person. The other is Arturia in a party dress. To my credit, I don't have any plans for more Sabers. Yet.

Sakura Tenge does have a great voice. Oh, and Nero has a cool theme song, too. And this is the party dress one I'm going to get. Decently priced, and it looks good. That's about all it needs to qualify for purchase.
