While I agree that firing Solich was a mistake, Pelini was poisonous to the culture. Based on all the leaked poo poo, he was extremely childish and looked to blame external forces for all of his failures, and he instilled that value in many of his players. It was a bad fit for Pelini, too - he couldn't handle the ridiculous obsessive scrutiny of our entitled fanbase and media. I get the impression that our AD and chancellor are both slimeballs, but Pelini had to get the gently caress out both for himself and the program. He should have been fired a year earlier when he basically told our AD to fire him during the postgame presser after the Iowa game. I'll continue to wait to pass judgement on the Riley hire.
